Am I wrong to say Diamond Dynasty is the most functional mode in the game this year?

I watched a streamer play that for hours many days in a row without any issues.

It means that it makes them money and they dont care about the other modes.

It means you’re making things up to try and get pats on the back from the largely offline OS crowd. Good job?

DD is the mode most reliant on servers. If SDS’ servers suck (and they have), DD will obviously be most effected.

I'm making things up? That's a good one. I don't want pats on my back. I want truth.

Like I said, I watched a guy play Diamond Dynasty games without issues for hours on end.

It means nothing. I for one have had zero crashes or issues since the game came out. And I don't play DD. I truly think alot of things get blown out of proportion bc the crowd that has an issue with something will always be louder than everyone else. Is the game perfect? No. But it's still alot of fun. And since there have been lots of server issues since release, that means that not everything is fine and dandy in DD land. Just sayin.

Diamond Dynasty servers have been spotty at best, so I would not say it is the highest functioning mode.

Amen. I'm the rare breed of old school OSer(mostly lurker) who is a die hard Franchise guy and have been since MVP Baseball. I'm also not afraid to say I REALLY enjoy DD. It's literally the only "ultimate team" mode that it is actually possible to compete without spending a dime. I understand where a lot of the hate comes from and most think it takes away from Franchise which is true to some extent.

All that said the devs have done an amazing job with DD this year. There is more single player content and modes than ever before, and it's not pay to win.

One look at other outlets (Twitter, Reddit, TheShow.com forums, etc.) show this to be true. Whatever narrative he was going for could be debunked within seconds.

DD has been slowly killing all the other ways to play on this game.

Due to The Show being free this year and how my experiences have been so far, I doubt I buy next year.

Do members here on OS know they don’t *have* to play the game? If you don’t like the way it’s going, don’t support it. Play an older MLB. Play a different game. Don’t play video games. Whatever suits you. But as some have said, there’s a crowd that wants to complain and will find justification to do so.

Whatever suits you. But as some have said, there’s a crowd that wants to complain and will find justification to do so.

No, they don’t understand that. They think they are entitled to a video game of whatever sport they want, and it must be made in exactly the way they want. Failing that, they rage like rats in a cage over because they are not bright enough to play another game or enjoy a different hobby.

And somehow, they think their opinions, people that aren’t smart enough to just play games they actually enjoy, should have some say in how the game is made.
