    RTTS Question coming of TS17

I really dont know what I'm supposed to do in this mode this year.
I'm late June and there is still no option to customize my Atributes.
I want a Hitter who has a great rating against LHP and a bad rating against RHP like i always create in RTTS.
    Like for example
    ConR 32
    ConL 55
    PowR 45
PowL 65 .. as base Stats.

Also as a pitcher. I cant find a way to customize my pitches.
I want a faster 4seamer with less control and a faster Slider with less break. And a really slow curve with much break.

I have no clue what to do. Did i miss this when I started the save ?

It’s all different now, it’s archetype with attribute caps. The rest of your attributes come from the equipment you obtain/purchase.

You have to create your ballplayer (rtts will prompt to edit ballplayer before starting) and then you have to select your main archetype first. Are you more a fielder, good contact hitter, slugger, speedy, basically have to choose from one of those types of archetypes.

From there you select “sub” archetypes, this is where you increase more specific attributes further. So again depends what type of player you’re trying to build. Each type will show you what attributes of your player it effects and how.

Note that each selection has pros and cons, it’s up to you to decide what you need or don’t need more depending on what you’re going for and your play style.

Invest in equipment as this is the only thing that will get your ballplayer to the true level you want them at, each piece of equipment adds “bonus” attributes to your base ratings. Also note base ratings for each attribute are capped at 50.

Once you’ve gotten into rtts you can click view player, go to your archetype and click square or x if your on Xbox and it will show you the archetype program. This shows you what tasks you need to complete to progress to the next archetype level.

There is bronze, silver, gold, diamond archetype levels. These are the big jumps in overall you’ll need. Only way to increase this level is basically grinding out the games and tasks, not sure if you can purchase archetypes on market but you can try.

      Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, that is very disappointing. This way you have zero chance to create a realistic player.
Like a guy who is only good at hitting against LHP.
It makes it even worse that you face roughly 20% LHP. So you will never gain as much progress as against RHP.
I dont know why they do this. Sad
But thanks for telling me ..

Ridins rosters are out, I’d download those and start a franchise, I’m pretty sure you can player lock in franchise so you can still get that aspect of playing. You could probably even create your player outside of rtts and import him to the team you want to do your franchise with.

Not ideal, but somewhat of a work around.
