ps5 Cant Sync Saved Date Prompt

I get this every time I boot up. It wants me to choose the cloud or internal storage, saying it will delete the other.

Anyone else have this? Advice/fixes?

I’ve had this with a couple games. Be careful tho cuz eventually it deleted my nba 2k stuff. Shoes. Rosters. My nba etc. now I’ve started hitting the start button on the game in the main menu when quit at the main ps5 dash menu and clicking the check sync data or whatever it says.

I get it occasionally on MLB The Show but it usually auto figures it out. I have had to choose local or cloud but its always after i switch between the PS4 and PS5 version which makes sense. When it does happen I always choose console as it should be the correct data as you are the one choosing to save to your console. If you select cloud save its possible you could lose progress if your console tried saving to your cloud previously and failed without you knowing.

NBA 2k was bad for me though like the other poster said. Getting that error was almost. daily occurrence and following the steps the error would say wouldn't fix it. Doing the steps then turning the ps5 power off then power on ultimately was my fix but like I said I had to do tgat often.

Well, it happens every time I power on the ps5 and every time I start the Show. For about the last week.

If I choose console, will my progress in DD be lost?

As far as DD is concerned thats a hard maybe? Not sure how DD handles saves. I know with RTTS, MTO and franchise the saves are handled locally(console) and the cloud is a backup so for those instances I would think locally would be the best choice.

DD though, cloud saves could very well be the most up to date save as you don't ever actually choose to save anything and I believe you have to have online connectivity for DD to work.

I dunno the DD part of your issue is scary that I dunno about advice sorry.
