Yep. For like the last 7 or 8 years I mostly play with the sound off and it really sucks. It’s a big part of the game and it should be enjoyable. Even Madden figured it out. I wish they would just hire the team from MLB 2K and buy the rights to the commentary from the last couple of years of that game and figure out a way to put it all together.

It’s strange though because since the game has released this year I have not been able to get onto SDS community forums at all. Don’t know why that is and if anybody here dose and could tell me why that is would be great. All said players should never feel like they have to turn off the commentary because it’s stale or repetitive whatever players want to call it.

This has been a problem with the game for years. I really think because of all the new users this year they didn't need to do much with commentary.

For me, I do like listening to commentary (I listen when watching a BB game IRL) while playing the game but the commentary is ridiculously repetitive this year. It is as if they removed many of the sound files. Too bad...

as a new user myself, the commentary is brutal. That's why the OP pencils threads like this in.

I really like Matt in real life broadcasts but he's gotten very stale in the game. Hearing the same commentary for like 15 years will do that to you. This game really needs a change in commentary teams to make it feel fresh again. I say bring over Gary Thorne, he's awesome.

I like Matt on MLB network but find when he's doing play by play he doesn't have a feel for when or how to sound excited about something. I 100% agree with Gary Thorne, he was why I played mlb2k.

Im just excited for the game to eventually come to PC so people can find ways to mod the commentary. No idea how but the community always finds a way to do crazy stuff lol.

Commentary has been awful for quite awhile now. I've learned to definitely just enjoy the sounds of the ballpark or listen to a podcast/music in the background

Honestly, after 2-3 games I subconsciously tune it out and don’t even notice it anymore. It’s definitely not engaging

U still holding a grudge because I tried educating u about how analytical baseball works? U didn’t even understand how batter/pitcher matchup strategy worked in the game and have a football icon for your picture……. We can both play the assumption game if u please….
