Hitting troubles since last patch

Anyone else having trouble hitting since the last patch? Seems this past week I can barely put the bat on the ball or generate any sort of power. I know the April POTM were a little juiced but now I’m popping up or hitting these weak grounders and seem to be struggling to hit with just about anyone, including contact hitters like Jackie, Lofton, etc.

I normally play between Veteran and All Stars offline and in the All Star division on RS. I love MLB the Show but it’s getting a little bit frustrating. I know it could it just be me in a slump as well but I feel like even struggling I should be able to get more bat on the ball.

When the game first came out I really liked that it seemed there were a lot of variety in the type of hits which was awesome compared to some of the previous versions of the game, but I’m not seeing that as much anymore.

EDIT: I also feel like timing and vision has been changed a little too. Veteran in Conquest and Veteran in Franchise had two different feels to it. I do not understand the need to tweak sliders behind the scenes. Just let the difficulties be as they are!

Do you mean the patch fixing an issue that caused graphical and texture oddities in Humphrey Metrodome?

I've the exact opposite experience. I was struggling to hit before, and I hit 8 home runs in one game last night. I hit homers on back to back pitches on two separate occasions in the game.

As the previous reply mentioned, the patch didn't address gameplay. You're just seeing expected variance in outcomes, which is a good thing rather than a bad thing. It would be very boring if things played out the same in every single game.

You're just seeing the built in peaks and valleys of the game itself. Based on player ratings , you're going to see various ups and downs in performance.

Conquest is in competitive mode, franchise is in simulation (assuming that's what you set it to). That's 100% intentional that has been there all year; you have to adjust to it.

(Edit: this is what I've heard and based on observations, it seems accurate. However, I can not 100% be sure this is accurate.)

They haven’t touched anything regarding gameplay in any patch so far.

Placebo my man……. Just part of baseball, you’ll go through some rough phases of not being able to hit a lick……. I got shut out 2 games in a row the other night and scored 11 in the 3rd game lol
