If Season mode still existed in this game, I would buy MLBTS 21 no questions asked.
Prior to the launch of this years game I kept saying "Things would be different if I only owned one of the next gen consoles". But I didn't have one at the time. Well something happened since then (I blame the fun I have been having playing Subnautica which no surprise plays so much better on the next gen consoles), I ended up doing something I said I would not do and that was I ended up buying a PS5 console yes at inflated prices (but inflation is everywhere these days and it will only get worse, so why not buy now while the window of opportunity was still open). But what now prevents me from buying MLBTS 21 is time. I just do not have the time to commit to trying to complete a 162 game season especially since 1/3 of the real world season is already behind us. If I knew Y2Y saves would return in MLBTS 22, then starting a new Franchise with this years game wouldn't be as big of an issue. But unless I am mistaken SDS has not said anything about bringing back Y2Y saves and I am not a fan of simming games and no, MTO in my humble opinion is not a viable replacement either. MTO is just a different way to sim your way through a season. No what is missing is the ability to customize a season. I miss the ability to create either a 29 game season (where everyone plays each other once), an 81 game season or the full 162 game season.
But silly me. All of us are really only supposed to be playing DD. My bad.
