Little late to the party but nonetheless.

I’m 29, first baseball game was Major League Baseball Ken Griffey Jr on 64.

First show game was 06 on ps2. Played every game since then. Haven’t skipped a single year. The show keeps my love for baseball going!

        49. First baseball game I played was Realsports Baseball on the Atari 2600. There was a sound effect indicating a homerun so you knew as soon as it left the bat. RBI Baseball is perhaps my most played baseball game ever. Oh the carefree summers a friend of mine and I spent playing head to head and keeping all of our stats in a notebook. I played a ton of Baseball Stars too where I created Barry Bonds and the Pirates. I also really got into one of the High Heat games on the original Xbox. Played a ton of homerun derby in Triple Play 97. Still think that was the best homerun derby ever. There was something so satisfying about hitting a mammoth homerun and the way the ball was tracked.

I still remember its outrageously high price for those days because it was mentioned every week when they gave one away on Wonderama. (If you aren't of a certain age and from the New York City area or one of the handful of other markets in the United States that aired that staple of Sunday morning kids TV, the name Wonderama likely means nothing to you. But every kid I knew in the Bronx and Northern New Jersey in those days dreamed of one day being in the audience of that show, so they could meet the host, Bob McAllister, and maybe see Batman (Adam West) and Robin (Burt Ward) or The Jackson Five in person.) No baseball on the Odyssey, but you could play a mean game of Pong.

The first tabletop baseball sims I played were Sports Illustrated's Pennant Race and the brilliantly fun trip into baseball history Sport's Illustrated's All-Time All Star Baseball. Moved on to Strat-O-Matic, tried APBA, Sherco, Extra Innings, Longball and more, but I always returned to Strat-O-Matic to explore professional baseball's rich history and get my simulated baseball fix.

I played baseball games on the Atari and Intellivision, and tried other video games and text-based baseball sims over the years. Most were terrible, a few OK, but none topped the dice, card and chart game for me or truly captured my imagination until MLB: The Show (and its excellent player creation tools) came along.

When I fire up the PS4 and see a bespectacled Chick Hafey (of my creation) roaming the outfield in Sportsman's Park, witness Willie Mays making an over-the-shoulder catch in the deepest part of the Polo Grounds or watch the Philadelphia A's Max Bishop dive to his left to rob Barry Bonds of hit in Shibe Park, the ten year old, who played All-Time All Star Baseball, still living inside me becomes giddy. Can't wait to get my hands on a PS5, so I can start playing with the Stadium Creator too.
"Wonderama. That brings back memories. I bet you watched This Week In Baseball. Man I'm still trying get my hands on a ps5 too. Good luck. I'm 57 also.

44 and been playing since '08. Kinda surprised to see the majority here are within my age group. I'm so used to everyone around me being younger.

Thanks! 58 here now. ("Time keeps on slippin',slippin, slippin' into the future.") Watched This Week in Baseball from its start (loved Mel Allen) and read Baseball Digest religiously. The Sports Encyclopedia: Baseball and The Baseball Encyclopedia were always close by and, as a New Yorker, Bill White, Frank Messer, Phil Rizzuto, Lindsey Nelson, Bob Murphy and Ralph Kiner provided the soundtrack of my summers.

I'm 58. First baseball game I played was intellivison major league baseball, which by the way was the consoles best seller. I remember playing some epic games with friends and family. As a xbox user I played the 2k games which were very commendable. Then their was the wondering in the desert for a few years with no 'elite' baseball games. I was stoked when The Show 21 hit the Xbox. I'm mainly offline and love franchise modes.

Turn 74 July 1. Been playing this game for years. Decided to take up video gaming in my early 60's to relate to my young grandsons. We play all the time and gaming gives us a fun point of contact. First grandson off to college this year. Still remember learning how to play Mario Kart with him on the Wii when he was five years old. He still cleans my clock. Looking forward to tomorrow night's launch.

I really don't think there's many kids on this forum, most of them are on Reddit, which I find sad.
