Adaptive Pitching Intelligence messed up?

I really tried to avoid making a topic about this but I’m not getting any confirmation or valid answers in the Q&A or Bugs threads.

In 21 (which I just got) with API set to Default and difficulty level set to Hall of Fame, the API does not work! If I press R2 nothing shows up, neither the pitch type or location. Is this a straight up glitch or am I doing something wrong?

Secondly in years past once you select your favorite team the menu would have pictures of your teams stadium/players. Did they do away with that this year? It seems like it’s always Tatis.

Not sure about the first question but they still have the team stadium in the background once you enter the main menus. It's definitely still there but dialled back from how it used to be.

Set API to On, not default. On default it's not automatic for Allstar and higher difficulties.

I understand that but it’s supposed to still be available if you press R2. I use this every year because I don’t want it always showing up for every pitch but I like to use it when I feel I need help or in a jam. It ain’t working this year.

Weird cause I use it and works fine. I use it and actually pitch what's called 99% of the time.

You press R2 on default and it works? I’m wondering what the heck is going on. I even checked my button maps on the PS4 and it’s all normal.

I have API setting as ON, not Default. With it on, pressing R2 works like it always has.

With it on you never have to hit R2 it comes on automatically for every pitch. I’m talking about on Hall of Fame with it on default, it should show up if you hit R2, it does not. That’s what I’m saying.

Report it as a bug, and just play with it set to On in the meantime?

I reported it. I just needed some kind of confirmation to know I’m not crazy lol. It’s a small thing indeed but been playing with this feature for years. And I also enjoy the animations that go along with it, the pitcher nodding yes or no.

I play with it On instead of default, so I don’t know what the default behavior should be. You might still be crazy.

Default has it off for All Star and above with the option to see it at any time by pressing R2.

Oh I see what you mean. I still have to hit R2 with it on cause the glove will disappear pretty fast. That's why I was saying hitting R2 works for me cause I'm doing it every pitch anyway lol

My strategy has always been to pitch on my own until I get 2 strikes, and then press R2 for the catchers suggestion for the put away pitch. Of if I’m having a bad inning I’ll keep using it to get out of the jam. But I don’t like seeing it for every single pitch.

Yes I did the same as u, it broken this year as it doesn’t appear when press r2 like it did before
