I actually take a counter-intuitive approach to Power swing (square) & Contact swing (circle)
when I have a power guy at the plate with less than two outs and I have a runner at second or third, since he already has natural power built in, I use contact swing once I get to two strikes and push the stick button up to influence a fly, hopefully a sac fly

and conversely when I have weak power guy (but good contact) at bat, in the same above scenario, I use a power swing BEFORE I get two strikes (after I'm at two strikes, back to normal swing, X) to try to get that sac fly, since he already has good contact, I'm just trying to get a little extra oomph out of him

but both of those strategies I use as sparingly as triangle bunt. I'm a big believer in since you only have 27 outs, they're far too valuable to just give away (even hoping for a sacrifice fly IMO isn't really that different from hoping for a successful sacrifice bunt)

Yeah when you use contact swing with a guy that has no power, that ball is going nowhere.
