    Ps4/ps5 game saves

Hi, probably a dumb question, but I have ps4/ps5 version on the same console. When I start the ps5 version and try to load my franchise progress from the ps4 version, it doesn't exist - there isn't any save file, and it wants me to start a new franchise.

This is on the same console... Is there a way to have the ps5 version read from the ps4 version without joining ps plus or using a usb stick.

    Thanks

Neither of those ways will work, either.

    There are no cross-gen saves.

Supposedly they could not do that this time around since they made fundamental changes to the base game code. I am sure they are right about that but I think those changes they made are moronic. Forcing RTTS players into Diamond Dynasty, for example. And I don't care what they say, you are forced to play DD now if you want to progress your RTTS player at the fastest pace. But the dumbest move of all was forcing everyone to play as a single two-way player save in RTTS. Even now, after I repeatedly denied all the manager requests to pitch....the stupid game still lists my player as having SP as his secondary position. So dumb. I can understand offering the two-way player path for folks that want to play as Ohtani. Great idea, but force everyone into that? Truly moronic.

Did you try uploading to the cloud in game then loading it to the ps5?

I think you need to make a the show account and link the consoles.

          Not sure though.

This is just not true. I’ve on year 3 as my third baseman and never had to pitch. You picked the option when you started.
