Contact after last couple of patches

Might have already been asked but I couldn’t find it. After a few patches already in to the cycle, is anyone noticing it being a lot easier to make contact with pitches for user and the CPU? I am noticing a lot more 10-12 pitch at bats, and it’s harder to strike the CPU out.

I had a 10 pitch at bat (count at 0-2) where I was literally throwing the ball a foot to a foot and half off the plate and the CPU just kept fouling it off. I finally conceded and just threw one right down the middle which he proceeded to wiff on.

May be placebo but the game didn’t feel like this on release.

I have noticed this but I also recently put the pitching difficulty up to Hall of Fame, so I put it down to that. I feel like the answer to these questions is always that it's just placebo but I'd be interested to hear from other people.

I haven't looked at all of the patch notes in detail but I'm not sure gameplay has really been addressed in any of them has it?

I haven't experienced/noticed any differences in how the game plays since launch. I still average around 6-8 strikeouts per game for both teams and see some long at-bats as well as quick, less than 10 pitch innings.

This is default Legend using meter pitching and zone hitting for full disclosure.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

To my knowledge, there hasn't been a patch that has addressed anything gameplay-wise since the game was released, but I could be 100% wrong.

It's typically a placebo that is explained by a small sample size. To be fair, most people will notice a small change in gameplay that is typically just explained by sample size, and immediately attribute it to a patch, so you're not alone, friend!

The day they do actually sneak in an "under the hood" gameplay change in a patch is going to be friggin' hilarious around here though

          Placebo.

They always tell us if they make hitting changes, so unless they directly say that they've made such changes, it's all in your head, coincidence, etc.

To add to this, we also have to factor in that the game's been out for a month now. Anyone who has played with any regularity has probably adjusted to this year's gameplay changes, so it's going to be different than at release when you're still feeling things out.
