Just chiming into the thread as I know it's going to get asked a lot and people might get upset about:

Any situation involving the Indians-> Guardians branding (whether it's player cards in DD, the uniforms, logos, etc) is really up to MLB and probably the Guardians themselves enforcing guidelines when it comes to branding.

It's something you can chalk up to the nature of the game being a licensed product as SDS just has to follow what's asked by MLB and the clubs.

Kirk Gibson is the new legend in the game but he's wearing the boring 1971 Dodgers uniform and not the proper 1988 uniform. SDS still has the awful 71 Dodgers road uniform with the stripes on the shoulder. Doesn't look like any new uniforms will be added. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I don't even know where to begin with the Dodgers in The Show.

I'm a stickler for uniform details, so the '71 jerseys are incorrect anyway. The Dodgers never had player names on the back of their uniforms until the 1972 season, and the 1971 uniforms was the last season that they would use flannel material.

With the 1988 uniforms, they might look similar to current day Dodger uniforms, but because of awful QC with the manufacturing process in the 80s, the home uniforms had the same road style script with a white outline. Plus the block number was slightly smaller after the '86 season (they switched manufacturers from Goodman & Sons to Rawlings), and they continued to use a white trim on all the numbers until 2007.

It's little details but those things add up

It's interesting that RBI baseball has the White Sox 1987-1990 set but SDS doesn't or refuses to add the 1976-1981 White Sox set.


Also why they refuse to add the 1990-1993 Cubs and the Blue Jays 1994 Blue alternate is also a mystery.

Doesn't look like any new throwback uniforms will be added. Hopefully I'm wrong.


As for Spring Training uniforms, actually have BP/Spring Training uniforms and not the garbage with no names/numbers that have been in the game for some time.

I know you're obsessed with uniforms, and I also really enjoy going through all the options and wearing different sets throughout a franchise season.

BUT you say this every single year, when all we've seen is two short videos and an incomplete tech demo. We haven't seen anything to indicate whether or not they added any new looks.

Just...wait until the game is actually closer (or until the inevitable uniform video) before saying "Welp, guess they didn't add a single uniform".

Talk about obsessed with uniforms, I probably spent a whole week just playing with rebranding uniforms for franchise. I love messing around with that option and using them in franchise. I wish they gave us more options in that area.

I’ll bet that they’ll be in the game. SDS normally get the updated Spring Training caps in. I’m curious to see what they’ll do with the mesh backs though. Considering they never have the pull over jerseys in the game, I’m assuming this will be the same. They’ll be in but will be the normal style cap.

Hope so. We’ll see what they do with the spring training jerseys. I don’t mind if they keep the same ones they used in last few years but please add numbers on back.

Strange enough, 3 teams had NOB and names with their ST jersey, Miami, Braves & Dodgers. Why not doing the same with the other ones is a huge mystery.

Last season the beautiful 1994-2001 Cleveland set was added but there's a high possibility that all previous Cleveland uniforms will be removed.

Prayers Cleveland's previous uniforms remain. MLB shop still sells merchandise saying "Indians".


Just need Blatimore's 1995 Away, Cubs 1993 Away, Giants 1983-93 Away, and Brewers 1994-1996 Alternate and I'll be happy.

Some of last years were in the Tech Test, I’d hope that means all of them revealed last year make it in. And hopefully they’ll add any new ones revealed this season (yes I think there will be a season) via patch.
