Stealing Bases

Idk if I'm that terrible or what but it is borderline impossible for me to steal a base in the show. I'm into the beginning of July and my team is dead last in SB's and I bet if there is a place to check I've been picked off more than any other team in baseball. I also can not throw anyone out stealing on the other team to save my life and my primary catcher is wilson contreras for the cubs.

As far a throwing runners out. Would need some more info here.

Are you slide stepping? Are you pitching out? Are they getting big leads on you? Do you ever step off the mound? How often do you attempt a pick off?

The point is that you need to use the tools at your disposal to control the run game. Reading the above thread can give you an idea on when the CPU will run and how they control the run game when they are pitching.

I found a little trick on the internet that I modified a little and have had great success stealing bases in my franchise against the AI.
This is for xbox one. When you have runner on hold down the RT which brings up what pitches the pitcher throws. Dont let go of RT. If you let go of it the pitcher will throw the pitch. Wait a few seconds and the pitcher will look over at you. When you see his head turn press LB once to take bigger lead. I found if you press LB more than once, they will throw and mostly pick you off. Next press LT once to tell the runner to go when pitch is thrown. Now you can let go the RT. The pitcher will throw the pitch and your runner will steal second and be safe most of the time. In my current franchise using Phillies I have 12 steals on 13 tries in first 8 games. These are my stats
McCutchen who has 59 spd and 17 steal is 4 out 5 Segura 70 spd 37 steal is 4 for 4 Gregorius 52 spd 15 steal is 2 for 2 and Quinn 99 spd 30 steal is 2 for 2 Quinn would have more except for the fact that he cant hit so not base that much. LOL
In my franchise before this that quit and restarted I had something like 59 steal out 66 attempts. So I've had really good success. It works for stealing 2nd or 3rd. However I have found that if try it with more than one runner(double steal) I get fouled up and and It doesnt work as well . Trying to see if can modify so have better success double stealing.

As for throwing runners out I need help. I cant throw anyone even witth Realmuto. If anyone has any tips for throwing out runners stealing or advancing on pitches in the dirt pleas post.
