MLB the Show 21: How to use Ohtani as a two-way player

I accidentally figured out how to use him to pitch and hit.
You have to go to the player editor and change him from SP to RP, he can still be in your rotation as a starter and he shows up on your bench to use in the lineup.

Hope that works! I just edited him in the Franchise though I play as the ChiSox. Unfortunately Bundy got injured in Spring Training so they have him slated for Opening Day (lucky me). I did notice it dropped his overall from 82 to 75 though...

He also lose his "untouchable" quirk? His K/9 is still 85...

You can still use him as a SP, just make sure he’s not starting that day. I have him as a 5th starter and he’s in the lineup. I’ve even played against him pitching in my Blue Jays season.. cpu vs cpu so right into the game. He ended up pitching and hitting the same game. Once he got pulled out he remained in the lineup as a DH lol. When he’s not pitching he’s in there as a DH

I didn't have to do anything and he automatically became a 2 way player due to his hit ratings. CPU is managing him. That said, he is awful as a pitcher in the game. Not sure if his stamina/durability is affecting him?

I'm assuming your not using Ridin's rosters. This is not the case. He is not even a DH as Rojas is. At least on the lineups he is listed as OF and on the rotation as a RP

Using Ridin as base. I am using TrueSim roster.

I put him in SP rotation and that was it. He rotates in and out and does DH when not pitching.
