At this point, there is noting but speculation, and few of us have faith Franchise will actually deliver.

Franchise mode was ignored for a full decade. Care to explain that?.. EA even acknowledged it is the most played mode, so its really inexplicable.

The NFL is a living, breathing thing. 24/7, 365. Franchise mode does the worst job imaginable encapsulating that.... with 30+ years to make as dynamic and creative as they cared to.

I agree franchise mode could be alot better. But what MLBtS does best; core gameplay. There are VERY few glaring issues (bunting)

My advice to you; take a lesson from THEM on THAT.

The bottomline is both games have had poor franchise modes for years now. Madden is attempting to fix that. We will see if they succeed. At least their is an attempt.

With this game we got an updated depth chart as one of the top 3 changes with the mode. Not much else needs to be said there.

Their attempting to fix in the next season game Hopefully MLB will do that next season.

Some differences, that twitter thing trended and Madden came out and said their franchise is their most played mode. So maybe there is simply more of an onus on them to improve that

I wouldn't advise any game developers to take notes from Madden. Basically everything you listed was either already in '21, or was supposed to be in '21.

One of the big sells for Madden 21 was the Scenario Engine, which was supposed to do exactly what that press release describes. The way they implemented it was laughable, and the fact that they're readvertising it again this year is even more laughable.

EA actually made significant changes to Madden franchise mode POST release. When was the last time SDS did that? they barely do anything to franchise PRE release (Mills said they actually made it worse this year).

Yes, it took a social media outcry, but hopefully SDS is watching and won't let it come to that, although some such as Mills have already been speaking out, which is good to see.

I disagree with the idea that franchise mode is worse in '21 than it was in '20.

There are things in '21 that is an improvement over previous titles:

* Rosters expanded to 93
* Better budget system
* AI teams signing free agents during the season to fulfill needs
* Trades are better imo
* I think the AI roster management has been better

Are there shortcomings still? Absolutely, but this year it feels as though changes were made to lay a foundation for bigger and better things to come versus just doctoring what was there.

Ok but at least they have an intent to deliver lot of franchise stuff. Will they deliver is another issue but at least they’re not just ignoring it like MLBTS who’s only focused on their cards based system. They’re killing the franchise and deviated from what made their success.

I’m sorry , I tried to defend them in the past but those guys need a serious wake up call.
