Injuries Question - Does Setting Matter ?

My basic question is has anyone found out if the User Settings affect the in-game injuries ?

Basically I was playing The Show 19 and had a couple GameStop Coupons so I picked up 20. Used was 8.99 and with Coupons I payed nothing so I figured what the hell since I could transfer the save.

Anyway, through about 20 games in 19 I had no in-game injuries. I know it's not an incredible sample size but still enough games to possibly get something small but in my franchise before that I never had any injuries either . Only thing was Franco out for the game with something in BP but I didn't play that. Anyway, after switching to 20 only three games played so no concern yet but it got me thinking.

I play Fast Play and Quick Counts so I can get more games in. They just take too long with everything on and I don't have time with kids, etc., and this is the first time I am playing every game. I've always played one starter sim 5 next starter. Also, My injury sider was at 9 and I just put it to 10.

So basically long winded but has anyone found out or heard that playing Fast Play and Quick Counts doesn't have in-game injuries ? I know there are less actual pitches so there are less chances as well but I was curious if I had to play full pitch count and Broadcast to see them.

    Any thoughts ? Thanks

I strictly use QC and in game injuries do happen. But you do need to raise the injury slider up to at least 8 imo to see them every so often. I can't remember 2020 and how it was. Didn't play it too much compared to 21.

Just be careful when simulating. No higher than 7 for simulated games or you'll have tons.

Im still on 20 PS4 and mi experience is this, with injury slider at 8 I don’t get enough injuries (thats a good thing) but when I get them it would be for a long period of time... I sim 98% of the minor league games before I advance to the next day... and its the same, sometimes ill go a whole month without injures but when I get one... he’s done for the season.

      Hope it helps!

Re: Injuries Question - Does Setting Matter ?

Well I have finally gotten a couple in game injuries with it at 7. Two were in one game. Vince Velazquez had to leave the game early but was fine after. And for the Nats Patrick Corbin got hurt in about the 7th sane thing. In another series JT Realmuto got hurt sliding into second and was out 1-6 days. Ended up missing only 1 game. I took a chance and kept him on the bench and didn’t 10 day him so had no backup catcher for a game.

So I must have just been in a lull or something. Now the injuries are coming. Zach Elgin just went down with a shoulder tear for 2-3 months and is on the 60 day DL

on the injury slider, I started setting it by month:
                    March - 2
                    April - 4
                    May - 5
                    June - 6
                    July - 7
                    August - 8
                    September - 9
                    October - 3

just a personal preference, I wanted it so that as the summer wore on,
players would start wearing down because of the long 6 (or 8) month grind

Only thing I'd be concerned about if I did this, is the likelihood that it f**ks your roster for the playoffs. I ended up only having a 24 man roster this past playoffs because I had two players go down in early September.
