ONLINE HEAD TO HEAD:

• Fixed a bug that would cause the game to freeze when a player would disconnect their controller during a homerun sequence
• Fixed a bug that would cause players to freeze if the offensive player would enter a quick menu and the defensive player would pause at a very specific time
• Fixed a bug where if one player would enter the quick menu at the same time the other player would pause, the pause menu would stick to the screen

There are no hitting or gameplay balance changes in this update, however, we have been following the feedback and hope to have some adjustments made to contact hitting (and more) in future updates.

FRANCHISE/MTO:

• The depth chart now shows the correct players rotation in later years
• Fixed a bug that would cause a previous players mugshot to show in an empty position in the depth chart
• The extra innings base runner rule is no longer applied in the Postseason

RETRO MODE:

• Fixed an issue that would cause fielders to disappear after a defensive substitution

MISC/UI:

• Fixed an issue where Pitch Count and Pitch Speed would overlap on the scorebug
• Updated ASG uniforms to the 2021 design
• Various spelling errors fixed

Dang now I wish I turned the extra inning rule on lol. I only left it off cause it was going to be on in the playoffs. I should have known better, oh well

Every time it’s not included in a patch, I just resubmit a new bug report. I won’t speculate on how easy it is to fix, but it is such an immersion buster for me

At this point, to get something as basic as a schedule wrong in every released patch is just awful.

Yup. The fact that nerfing contact hitting seems to be the priority when online games are typically pitifully low scoring isn't good. And, maybe I'm wrong here, but it definitely seems like the CPU makes liberal use of contact hitting late in counts, so it's going to mean redoing a lot of sliders.

Personally, I don't think contact swinging really needs to be changed. It's like choking up. You lose some power, but you don't lose all your power. But it seems like a lot of the online community thinks it should basically be slap hitting.

I've never used anything other than normal swing in all the years I've played this game. Is this something that's an online only deal?

Yet another patch that does nothing to divest RTTS from the online and DD infection. Their words were meaningless. I hate the MLBTS 20 will be the last game I’ll ever play by them.

Glad there are no gameplay changes once again. Game plays great for me on default legend with zone hitting and meter pitching

Awesome to see they fixed extra innings runner rule for the playoffs

Also glad they updated the all star uniforms. I’m not a fan of them but if we’re not going to have individual jerseys I’d rather have actual uniforms instead of generics .

Lol I only wish this came out a few days ago. Just lost game 5 of Division series with extra inning rule. Guy was moved over and then a suicide squeeze ended my season!

As a Yanks fan, I actually feel for you Sox fans on this one.

It is unacceptable that SDS has not to my knowledge even acknowledged the bug, and, fundamentally, explained what is the problem in correcting it. I think this might ease the frustration of some.

If you are going to have real MLB schedules, teams, unis, players, stadiums, etc, how do you not get the start times correct?

Of course, DD is fantasy baseball, and you don't need any of that stuff. #NBAJAM

I could be wrong, but I believe SCEA has come out and stated that they cannot make changes to the Schedules in Franchise mode via title update, or it will nerf existing franchises. I believe this actually happened a few years back.

Doesn't explain how they got all the start times wrong in the first place, but I don't believe it is something they can fix without nerfing any existing franchise saves.
