So I am the angels in franchise I know he can’t hit and pitch at the same time so I do have him as dh when he doesn’t start. But now he has no energy so I can’t use him to hit anyway to work around this or fix this

Hmm...you can increase his stamina and durability.

I have not seen his stamina deplete as DH since any DH does not lose stamina.

There is a work around to allow you to have Ohtani pitch and hit in the same game.

On the lineup screen, sub in the previous game's starting pitcher in the DH spot. Then put that pitcher in the spot in the lineup you want Ohtani to bat in.

Then move the DH onto a position player, so the previous game starting pitcher is playing a position.

Now, when the game starts, and you are in the field, go to substitutions, and move the player who is at the DH position to the position the pitcher occupies. This will cause you to lose the DH, and force the current pitcher (Ohtani) to bat.

I tried to make a thread but it won't let me for some reason. Has anybody traded for him on an NL team. Im the Cardinals. Traded for him and I was looking for tips on the best way to use him because of the stupid stamina situation

Currently playing as the Angels and I maxed out his durability and stamina and I have had no issue with him losing energy so far.

In all fairness, this is really the first time it's ever been an issue. Even in previous seasons (well, 2018 anyway), Shohei never hit on days he pitched. And it's not like there's been another pitcher who regularly hit in the AL in the last 50 or so years.

How do we get the cpu to put him as a dh? I set the Angels lineup with him as a DH and started a franchise with a random team but the cpu changed it and put other players in at dh even though Ohtani’s stats are better

That's one of the reasons I started a new Franchise controlling every team. I set everything to Auto except for lineups and rotations for everyone but my own team (which is all Manual). Also allows me to prevent stupid stuff like the Mets only playing Lindor against lefties and teams putting their second worst hitter in the 2 hole. And the I can make the Angels use Ohtani as the DH.

The problem we’re having in my online league is I can’t figure out how to put Ohtani in the batting lineup at all.
