When the bullpen issue started and you got stuck noway to exit of you sit your pitchers back down it then would allow you to exit. I hope this helps to the guys still having issues.

Yup. Only happens on the xbox. I dont notice it on the PS5.

They didn't really fix the crash they just changed it. It used to crash when you pinch hit or pinch ran for a player not eligible at the position of the player being replaced.

Now on the ps5 if you pinch hit for the pitcher the next half inning the position player will take the mound to pitch. If you go to the bullpen to try to insert a relief pitcher you are stuck in the bullpen and can't get out.

It is worse than before because before you could save an exit in anticipation of the crash. Now you can't pinch hit for the pitcher. They obviously didn't test the game before they released the patch.

Now I can't play the game and given the slow rate at which they patch the game who knows when they will fix this. What a mess.

This is so frustrating. It's 2021 so this shouldn't be an issue!

It's related to microsoft leveraging MLB to get included at they same time they made the game for next generation. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Microsoft should send a crew of programmers to help. SDS doesn't have enough developers to handle the work load.

It looks like it man, it definitely has me excited. Even the lacking of a dome feature looks like it can be worked around. Guys seem to have been able to build pretty close out to mid-ways through the field with roof pieces that appear to look like a ceiling during gameplay. The reason I want night games so bad is that if it's dark and the sunlight isn't coming through casting shadows and being bright, and you can't see open sky, you pretty much do have the Astrodome or Kingdome.

I do that in 20. I take Safeco or the like and close the roof, set it to October at 7PM with overcast on and it at least somewhat gives the feeling of an enclosed, dome like stadium the best it can.

But yeah, overall they look to have done a great job with it.

I tried this and it did not work. i have had 2 straight games now it has happened only when im at bat looking to warm up...and not while im pitching. i submitted a report. so i have to save the game now before i go to warm anyone up. a bit more annoying then seeing the last players career stats etc. on the popup scorebug for the current player all the time.

It doesn't work for me either on a ps5. I filed a bug report but I also filled one on the game crashing and it took until July 20 to get a patch for that - and then they botched the patch.

I'm approaching the point where I'm ambivalent and simply move on to something else. This isn't the only game on the market.

I uninstalled mlb the show 21 then reinstalled mlb the show 21 like I do for every patch. I do the same with Madden. My problem is, however, I can't redownload JoshC1977's roster, Bacon's roster or any of the rosters I like. I can't redownload them, because I can't find them. No rosters come under JoshC1977, Brinskie11, or Bacon's roster, his ps4 name escapes me at the moment. Can anyone tell me why? Never had a problem like this before after a patch. Thank you.

I wouldn't have know this is or not the case; nonetheless, my comment comes from really a legacy frustration felt by any long time manage mode player.
