Dynamic difficulty not saving progress on RTTS

I have a starting pitcher in my RTTS and the dynamic difficulty always starts at veteran at the beginning of every game. The progress is never saved. Any fix for this?

It's the same in franchise. People been complaining about it since the game came out, and they still haven't fixed it, so it doesn't look like they will.
