    CPU pitch usage

When you bring up menu to see types of pitches the opponent throws, is there a way to tell which one they throw the most? I am always reacting to pitches and my hand eye coordination is not what it was . What happens when get old. So I always seem late on fastballs and early on offspeed. Once I figure it out, they change pitchers and the next one throws totally different and I have to start over. If I could at least get some idea which pitch they use the most, maybe I could get timing down quicker. My question is is A#1, B#2 and so on?

When you see the pitcher's makeup on the screen, the top pitch is their "favorite/best" pitch and its broken down by how "effective" a pitch is for the pitcher.

During the game, you can press up on the D-pad and it will show the pitchers makeup and how many times they've thrown it that game and the percentage of times its resulted in a strike.

I also recommend looking at the pitcher/batter analysis screen. Its cumbersome to get to since its behind the pause menu, but with it you can view patterns a pitcher may be in, how he's pitched a particular batter, etc...

Hope this answers your questions or at least provides some insight.

EDIT: Don't forget there is a slider to adjust the speed of fastballs and offspeed pitches if you feel as though you need an extra moment. Or the timing slider that spans the timing window by a moment or two.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Thanks I was not aware of using d-pad during game to see that info. That will probably be big help. Going to check it out next time I play.

Youu can't always expect the cpu to lean on their 'X' pitch. The cpu will capitalize on your weakness. For example, the curve is the cpus 3rd best pitch. They will throw it alot if you show the inability to hit a curve. The cpu confidence will raise as you swing and miss each time......
