Ohtani

Sorry if this doesn't belong here, but I'm thinking about picking this up again after I grew tired of Madden. Messing with the rosters and I notice that I can't get Ohtani in the Angels line up with the DH. He's an option on the non-DH lineups but that's obviously not very helpful being in the AL. Does anyone know of a way I can have him DH while still being in the pitching rotation?

When I go to try and edit him I see that "two way player" is not active for him and I cannot change it. I even tried to re-create him but even on create player I cannot make him a two way player.

I'm thinking there has to be a work around somewhere so if anyone has the solution that would be much appreciated.

FWIW I'm working off an old file that was updated shortly after the trade deadline that I have made my own edits to from there. But I also tried to load the latest "official live roster" but still unsuccessful. Is there a relatively updated roster set that allows Ohtani to be a two way player?

In 21 all pitchers should be available on the bench to put into the lineup. If you dont see him try to switch his spot in the rotation. I think they hide the next games probably starter from the lineup screen in franchise.

If you ever change his spot in the rotation or put him in the bullpen the pitcher you replace him with will be inserted into his spot in the lineup as well, so be sure to put him back in the lineup after you change the rotation. In one sim I forgot to do this and Alex Cobb ended up playing 2 games as DH (and he hit a home run)

Don't have Ohtani in the number 1 pitching rotation slot. because the lineups treat that as if he is starting as a pitcher.

then he will show up to put as a DH I don't think the Angels would have him pitching opening day anyway so just move him in the 2 slot in rotation.

This was exactly the problem. He was slotted as the #2 pitcher. Once I moved him down to 3rd he was available to DH.
