How Long Did It Take You To Get Called Up To The Majors?

I'm playing RTTS for the first time ever. I was drafted in the 3rd round by the Braves. They started out with the whole two way player thing but I was adamant on playing 3rd base. My first year with Mississippi was a pretty good year. I led AA in HR's, RBI's and Hits. A month into my second season in AA they want to call me up to AAA with Gwinnett but tell me that because they are already set with Austin Riley at third, they may consider trading me unless I consider a position change to first base (hello Freddie Freeman); because I want to play for the Braves I make the change. We're in July and I'm having decent success so far. The podcasts make it seem like it could be any day now before I get called to the Big Leagues.

So, how long did it take for you guys to finally get called up?

I was called up to the majors in August of the first year. But my guy is a pitcher for the Orioles, so that’s not saying much. He was already the second highest rated pitcher in the organization by May. In my RTTS, Freeman is on the A’s in year two. That may happen in yours also, Freeman leaves after year one and you’re the new MLB 1B in year two. I’ve also had older RTTS’s were my guy was in the minors for 3-4 seasons.

you can't do it now, but the most fun I always had in RTTS was years ago when you could create a 40 year old rookie and see if I could get him a cup of coffee before he retired. most times I couldn't but the couple times I did were the most satisfying experiences I had with RTTS

Always in my first year, never failed.

Never spent more than a month in AA or AAA and was called up to the bigs.

I played first/third base so I guess I always had a little bit of wiggle room on where I could play. I never just chose a single position, and NEVER did the two-way thing. (I hate they forced that on us over and over again)

I miss creating older players so much. I created a 45 year old in 08 and he made the AA all star game.
