Oh gosh, isn't this like the 3rd time the mlb has said that?

First deadline canceled the first two series.
Then second deadline would have canceled the first deadline but if not met would double or nothing, and cancel 4 series.
Third deadline cancels first and second deadline. lol

Do we really believe they would cancel games if a deal was made tomorrow or 5pm after the deadline?

lol im a mets fan, but this is just one team so I don think so. Unless they require a unanimous vote.

I did see that MLB snuck in a provision that the players have to drop their 2020 covid lawsuit. sheesh, hope this isn't like the intl draft.

No, they only need 23 owners to approve.

There's a 2017 lawsuit MLB requested to be dropped as well.
