Yeah they are personally leaving out anything OS members request

Good thing the community never asked for create a stadium [emoji57]

      To be fair:

      1) That's also been mentioned on Twitch streams, as well as their own forums I'm sure.

      2) It was also on their own personal wish list.

      3) Who hasn't said in their lifetime as a baseball gamer: "Man, wouldn't it be so cool if we could make our own stadium??"

Definitely not OS-specific, though I'm sure we had some influence.

I have to give major props for them to be the only studio in the world that I know of to have year-to-year saves in a professionally-licensed sports video game. That was incredible, despite some of its buggy/limited nature. I do hope it makes a valiant return soon.

I really thought the sarcasm would be blunt enough, guess not.

They are not purposely leaving out additions, features, options, etc simply because they are being requested by the OS community.

Some of you guys are trying way too hard.

Those are things I've also mentioned in the past. Adding create a stadium is pretty huge. Madden doesn't have it. NBA i think has a create an arena but its pretty simplistic and basic.

As far as I know, Y2Y saves have never existed in other video games. I do miss it, but I'm sure there is good reason why it's gone for now. But i feel like it's hard to complain about it not being there especially since it doesn't exist anywhere else.

At least they give us quick manage, sim, and quick counts to help get through the long seasons if someone wants those.

I don’t remember which year but a couple of years ago they added Harold Reynolds to the three man booth and you can love or hate him but he brought a fresh air to the commentary and was actually pretty good! He sounded natural with a distinctive voice and not scripted like Dan Plesac. Unfortunately they couldn’t lock him for more hears so the could built up his dialogue [emoji17]

For me, the commentary is the weakest part of the game. It needs a complete overhaul. MLB 2K was and still is miles better than The Show. Everybody here knows I love The Show, but I'm not blind to the things that need some changes done.

I remember that year. It made the game so much more immersive for me.

I agree. I may have harped on graphics due to this particular topic, but commentary is the biggest issue. Diamond Dynasty is already lacking presentation due to fast play, a commentary overhaul would greatly add to the fun of the game.

Hopefully they do some work on commentary that makes it sound more natural and immersive. And regarding graphics, like I said earlier, I think if they worked on making the player models look more realistic, then people wouldn't complain about graphics so much.

                      No, no it wasn't.

I'd like to think the time spent with the developers here definitely lent a hand in this game's progress. They used to ask for stadium feedback, names in the audio database, etc. Some of my personal recommendations and wishes have gone into the game before, such as effects audio not playing during a slow motion replay but playing during a regular motion replay.

Not to mention the fact that stadium creator has been a request here and they have responded to it in kind. There was no need to be sarcastic, because it's a legitimate item of contention. Though, to be fair... see my points above.

EDIT: Oh, I wasn't talking about the "purposefully leaving out OS requests" bit. I was only talking about the stadium creator portion. I edited that part of your quote out of my post.

I refer to it as silly because I think it’s like playing The Sims baseball version lol……. I prefer to have things in the game that represent real life perfected before we add fantasyland items like the stadium creator that is sorta bare bones anyways……. Like I said maybe I’m just old school

It’s year #1 for an option that has been wanted for years. It’s not bare bones. There are some beautifully rendered stadiums in the vault. If you know what you’re doing and have some imagination with the props you can do all sorts of great stuff. I look for it to be more detailed this year. I’m old school too, but this is another preference. Can’t wait to put Tampa Bay and Oakland in new stadiums.

I think the MLBTS is one of the better looking games on PS5 already. Animations are an entirely different story, but I really enjoy the way the game looks to this day.
