This is what stings almost as much as them removing online franchise and season mode.

They offer Y2Y saves a ground breaking feature no other sports game at the time had. It worked great and got spoiled to just have them remove this groundbreaking feature years later is just a slap in the face. Why even offer a future feature back then to just take it away now that new consoles are here? What's sad is even current gen what once great feature worked great is no longer available?

I wish they would just come out and say the reason for it for 2 years like “it’s because the Xbox” or because “it’s because now the switch”

Instead we question it with “ it’s because of the dd mode they only focus on”

It’s annoying me though that EA cop it for madden and fifa all the time and SDS are doing exactly what EA do taking features out then bringing Them back years later and they get a pass for it. who knows maybe it’s a “get excited Xbox players this is your first year with y2y saves” to market it EA style as a “new feature.

The fact they won’t tell us the reasons is making everyone doubt their motives now.

I'll be honest....I could much more easily stomach not having Y2Y franchise carryovers if we could at least import rosters from the previous years. Even playing every game, I could easily knock-out 3 seasons in a cycle if I had Bacon's roster from the date of launch.

I agree with that. I don't care a ton about carrying over my franchise TBH (though I get the obvious and unique appeal), I have rarely used it throughout the years. But boy do I want them rosters every year so people don't have to redo them -- plus there's just so many to try.

Agree with this totally. I really wanted year to year saves, but I'm sure there is a good reason why they aren't there. I'm sue they didn't take them out for no reason. Maybe simply it was easier when the game was only on playstation and they don't have the manpower to get them to work on all platforms and the amount of people that used it was small, so its ultimately not worth the financial effort on their end?

Rosters though, man those will really be missed if we don't get those.

They put this sentence in the collector's edition blog today.......

For more detailed information on MLB The Show 22 including an important update on year to year saves and more please read our announce FAQ here.

We must be getting some kind of update today... I dont recall them EVERY putting a sentence like that out before.

Who knows at this point. Just tell us 100% what is in your damn product, SDS.

In regard to whether rosters can transfer over from 21 to 22, I just wish they would give us the answer soon. I understand why it would not work between 20 and 21 given active rosters expanded from 25 to 26 players and the total players expanded from 90 to 93.

If rosters do not carry over between 21 and 22, I would hope SDS would at least explain why it could not easily be done and mention if the feature will be reintroduced in the future.

Maybe they are still getting a ton of questions about it from people who didn't know they posted the FAQ, so they made sure to link it on that story?

IDK....I get how consumers would like them to be upfront about this, but I also get how it probably isnt a great marketing strategy to announce that your product does not have an popular feature...so quietly tucking it away in an FAQ might be the best strategy in their eyes. Doesn't mean it's not frustrating but I do understand it

I get there will be new people who don't know about the FAQ section and the website, but why point something like this out to bring people to be more angry that Y2Y saves aren't in the game?

Hate to be negative here, but I believe the link is there to offset pre-order complaints and calls for refunds from folks claiming they only pre-ordered the game thinking y2y feature was back this year. If they were going to update the answer in the FAQ they would have done it before the blog post I hope I'm wrong and we do get an update, but ...
