MLB The Show 22: The Good and Bad - Everything We Know

We put up a bunch of stories yesterday, but we also have a video now from Brian sort of putting everything we learned into buckets to this point for anyone who missed anything. This is MLB The Show 22 and all the good and bad things we know so far.

Considering how much you little rascals like to post the same thing in tons of posts (“DD actually kicked my dog” and “year-to-year saves being out means I won’t buy!”), I think I know what the bad things are already.

Curious about the Switch version. Here is hoping the graphics are on par and it's a full fledged version, unlike the PS Vita one (which still was nice to play btw).

Hope you didn't put the fire out with your new boots.

I'm not too concerned about resolution (maybe a bit in handheld mode), it's more the fps I'll be curious to see how it holds up. I do think it will be a full version of the game though considering the added download you'll have to do.

There just isn’t enough here to get me to make a purchase for a new game. I hope there are more releases in the coming weeks that include more additional game content. Might just continue my player on 21.

Mam, there are lot of things I want in a new game, but as for enough to buy? Fresh rosters and presentation, and a game that runs about as well as the last one.

Seriously, that's it. Yes, I would pay $60 for a roster and presentation update.

The fact is, I've only played on game that was literally that, which was MLB 2K13, which was literally 2K12 with new rosters. And I enjoyed the crap out of it (and 2K12).

There have been plenty of great sports games followed by changes that ruined them. For me, I would prefer the changes be minimal. I want to play baseball, not SONY'S BASEBALL EXPERIENCE. The game is just a platform, for me.

Until I got a Series X, I actually enjoyed SMB3 more than The Show. But that changed, and now I really can't wait for 22 to come out. I could care less what the features are or aren't.

And yeah, if it was $70 instead of GamePass, I would still buy day one. And if they change something that makes me not want to play it, then I probably hold off on buying 23.

Re: MLB The Show 22: The Good and Bad - Everything We Know

The game has been great for me the last few years. I know a lot of the hardcore community dont like the current state, but for me its fun, and challenging. Its still one of the hardest games IMO when it comes to building up drafted talent.

I switched to playing it on Xbox last year, and still bought it even tho it was on game-pass. I honestly was expecting it to be removed a month or so after it was released, but to my shock, it wasn't. I wont be paying for it this year. Just gonna enjoy a free version after paying for it since 06.

Am I the only one who figured night games for created stadiums would be announced as a "feature" for mlbts22 instead of being patched into mlbts21?

I’m also extremely curious how/if online will work on Switch given it’s “limited” online capabilities.
