Just a thought 2Y2 Alternative

They say being a perfectionist is a sickness as an artist I identify.
Like other artists Who have created players and spent 10 or more years perfecting their ideal classic players of the past.
I would like to offer my 400 players to SDS.
These players faces would be considered generic no names no numbers Just faces If they happen to resemble somebody that's just a coincidence.
Now if somebody buys The next show offering and they go through the faces and find somebody that happens to resemble somebody they can create that person.
They can add a number a name height and weight a position etc.
No legal ramifications involved Theoretically.

People need to do is take videos of players in 21. Then watch it as they make a CAP on 22 with the right info and face coordinates. The problem is it takes 30 mins per player (trust me I’ve been doing it for years into Franchise because no import player option. It’s time consuming but works

Off topic we are talking about SDS using some or all of my 400 created players in their game as generic players. Just an alturnitive to the Y2Y Blockade this year.

They could replace some of those awful generic manager and coaches in the game too. They need to do something. Seems like this would be so simply for them to import.

Great idea and great work. I doubt they would take you up on it though. I'll keep my fingers crossed, but going outside their art department would probably be frowned upon. Plus, they don't put the same emphasis on classic players that you and I do.

I've put the players I can't/won't live without on an excel sheet.

Takes about 15 minutes to get the attributes, then another 15 to re-input them again.

Problem is, I had simmed actual career stats for some of them. So no Y2Y saves crushes that.

.. what we really need is a roster editor. I can create a weak sauce, half hearted Madden roster in less time than it takes to create a SINGLE player in this game. Its just absurd.

As it is it appears that who ever does the fake players that comes with the game just randomly generates the faces from the template that we see in create-a-player and, without much thought tweaks each one just a tad. Scooter isn’t offering them as classic players, but to use instead of what they now currently use/do. 400 0f his faces would go a long way, especially if they have no plan to change course. Right now these generic faces are PS2 quality in a “next gen” game.

Guess I misunderstood. But why would people want generic players that look like Mantle, Reese, etc? I must be missing the point. I could see using them as replacements for current legends, but what if the faces are undoubtedly those of former HOF guys and superstars?

Not everyone would recognize them. The stars perhaps, Dick Groat, not so much. As a roster maker it might be easier to take one of his creations and think, “hey, I can use this guy because he looks like so-and-so”, and edit him accordingly. Bottom line is it would be 100% improvement over what comes with the game.

I mean sure that works as an alternative for people who used year to year as a workaround for roster building, but what about those of us who actually used the year to year feature to keep a franchise (or RttS) going over the past 8 years?

I get what you're trying to accomplish, but year to year was a lot more than a roster tool.
