    My first 4K experience

For the past couple years I’ve always played The Show on my Sharp TV. I believe it’s only 1080 resolution. I’m not competing online against hardcore gamers but I think I do alright, usually hovering between all star and HOF difficulty.

Today I tried The Show 21 on my daughters 4K tv and good god I was horrible. Very late on everything, pitching and hitting.

Tell me I’m not the only one. Anybody else have a difficult adjustment to 4K and the increase in FPS?

Make sure you switch the tv to game mode, if you didn’t do that, it makes sense that you were late on everything.

Yup. Looks awesome. First thing I noticed was how much brighter the stadium looks. I’ll have to fire it back up later and try a night game.

4k has nothing to do with lag…so either change that tv to game mode or that tv just has high input lag.

Going from 1080p to 4K isn’t going to increase your frame rate.

Your issue is what is called input lag. 4K tv either needs to be set on game mode or your 1080p could have a higher refresh rate which would make your timing be off as well. Some cheap 4K TVs have pretty high input latency. (That way at any resolution)

Yes good advice. Absolutely you want to put it on game mode.

Thanks for the input guys. I’ll double check game mode next time I play.

Make sure u go into settings on playstation itself and turn on HDR and adjust it. Then on settings on game try turning it to sharper and save settings.
