The StatCast tidbit is pretty interesting. I believe in the past they have just called it "ShowCast" or something generic like that. It would be really cool if they are able to add some StatCast leaderboards within franchise mode like on baseballsavant, would be especially cool if they were able to implement OAA (Outs Above Average--their main defensive metric)

Re: MLB The Show 22 Technical Test Available Now
So I re-downloaded the Tech Test as I wanted to give it another go and really try out Diamond Dynasty as it opens the game up to see more teams and players.
A few things I noticed:
* When batting, if you press the R2 button you get batter info that appears over the scorebug. Shows player card and shows their attributes and how they've fared today with outcome of plate appearances
* I gave up a homerun to Paul DeJong and noticed I could hit L2 to generate a replay. Did this and it showed the statcast for the homerun which was powered by Google Cloud.
Pretty cool little touches
Playing Astros/Braves and the option isn't available.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: MLB The Show 22 Technical Test Available Now
Love the show. New’ish to the game. Got into it when 2k starting to get on my nerves and when my kids started to play rep baseball.
But……..tech test…….
Diamond dynasty……online H2H everyone has the same lineup of 99+ players so it’s hard to gauge the game. Co-op unless you’re willing to not be the captain people just back out of the game.
Next year add one more tab to co-op and have regular 1 v 1 H2H matches.
Either way. The most fun/best way to gauge the game is the exhibition game braves/astros you can play.
I’m excited for the show 22 and can’t wait to play regular teams online 1 v1 come april.Comment

Small observation, when batting with Nick Madrigal I felt his one handed finishes were some the cleanest looking I can remember. The whole animation through contact looked, and felt perfect.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 22 Technical Test Available Now
I think it's just like that for the tech test. If you hit a home run with the Astros/Braves game you can't hit L2 to see the replay. So I think just certain options aren't in that game like it is for the DD. I'll bet anything you'll be able to press R2 in regular games in the final version to see that info.

<s>BTW, noticed this from the online HR replays - "Showtrack" is now branded as the authentic "Statcast".</s>Comment

Re: MLB The Show 22 Technical Test Available Now
I could be wrong, but I feel like High Heat will be incorporated into this years game. I noticed it in various spots during the tech test. Thinking it’ll be part of the presentation revamp and will probably be used for MTO and hopefully Franchise.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 22 Technical Test Available Now
I've definitely noticed some new 1B animations. There are also new tags at other bases. I was thrown out at 2nd on a play I always am safe on by sliding to avoid the tag, but the fielder covering had a new tag animation to get me out.Comment

They’ve had High Heat billboards in the game for the last several years. Would be cool if it was something new presentation wise though.Comment

Dang yea you’re right I guess I just never noticed them quite as much somehow. I think since I saw it behind home plate at either petco or dodger stadium and it jumped out to me.Comment

Preferably not High Heat though....Would like it if Christopher Russo stayed as far away from my TV as possible. I would take literally any other MLBN personalityChicago Cubs

Wasn't Christopher Russo (and High Heat) part of RTTS in MLB 21? I feel like I remember him yelling on my TV when I was working my way through the minors.Comment

I haven’t played The Show since ‘17……
Scored myself a PS5 & WOW……silky smooth….ball trajectories….fielding mechanics…..camera options[emoji817][emoji817]….wont say it’s a brand new game (still plenty to identify this game from earlier versions) but sure feels like a major upgrade since ‘17
Love it…..i will miss SOTS tho[emoji22]
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkBummed that you're not on my ignore list yet?.....Don't worry, I'm sure you will be very soon.Comment
