    Instead of legends...

What do you think if instead of having some legends every year we could have these three extra things to the Create A Player functionality? I mean, we are blessed with a great CAP creators community.
    1. Upload a picture so you can upload a great card, like in SOTS but with images.
    2. Edit stats, so we can create -or import from some DB- historical/fictional stats.
    3. Add a short description, so we can add a short comment in some at bat prompts, E.g.: "4 times NL MVP"

It sounds like a good idea to me, doesn't it?

#2 sounds like a great idea. 19 was my first "The Show", and I just got 21 yesterday, & was pleased when I saw that I could create a player and then assign them a certain # of years of service (hated having Dave Stewart win rookie of the year when I was "playing" 1985. Being able to import stat lines would be the final bit of immersion to add to this.

Yeah last year I proposed the option for the ability to take a cool picture of your CAP in action and make your own card of it. Now it’s just a lame silhouette.

And 4... Edit pitching styles and add more options to batting stances (I want real Rickey Henderson's back)

Why not both? Why sacrifice new legends in the game when this doesn't seem like two things that would actual effect one another. I don't think adding new legends is the reason they've not added this feature.

Dumping the legends in lieu of CAPs is a very short-sided idea. You basically said, "Dump DD in lieu of a roster editor.". Ummm...no, terrible idea.

Very few people (relative to the overall game population) use custom rosters and far fewer use historical rosters. The vault download numbers very clearly demonstrate that.... I don't believe that making CAPs better would change that.

Don't get me wrong, I am 100% behind there being better roster tools in the game (and the stuff you mention is trivial stuff that doesn't even scratch the surface frankly); but you don't sacrifice one aspect of the game for another.
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

Yes, you are right. Perhaps I wanted to say that instead of adding and removing legends every year, and that's it, SDS can also add some improvements for roster editors. Thanks for your opinions!
