Re: MLB The Show 22 Features New Commentary Team of Jon Sciambi and Chris Singleton
Updated the OP link details, but here's some more info.- 128 separate recording sessions occurred, which included 350 recording hours and approximately 45,000 lines of audio. No wonder Boog and Singy cloned themselves in the video with Coach!
- Commentary systems have been redesigned for several major categories, including game intros, home run calls, post-play analysis, and more
- A new conversation system has been implemented, allowing for more natural banter between commentators that seamlessly integrates into the live action of each game. Boog and Singy recorded a lot of their lines together to bring this feature to life.
- Audio stitching enhancements increase the variety of both play-by-play calls and color commentary and improves upon player name integration. An enhanced dynamic range of play-by-play calls has also been implemented to match the excitement of each moment.
- Content captured from both real-life MLB broadcasts and MLB The Show-called commentary leads to a curated experience unique to each player.

Since this was in the works since 2019, could Franchise fixes/changes have been secretly worked on the last couple years and now this year ready to be added? I know, I know... Wishful thinking I guess.Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment

Okay damnit.. as mad as I am about franchise.. commentary is a big deal to me and really helps immersion. If it’s really good.. I might cave again.Comment

I think it is going to make a huge difference that they were together. Sounds like they were in the same room?Follow me on Twitch

so the new game intros.. I hope for the love of god it isn't about talking about the pitchers ERA and basing their opnion on how good or bad he is every time ! or by going by a players AVG as well.
But holy hell am I excited now for this change it has been over a decade!!Last edited by ninertravel; 03-08-2022, 06:31 PM.Comment

Re: MLB The Show '22 - New Commentary Team
When I say 2k, I meant MLB and not NBA, even though NBA 2K's commentary is still really good. But it sounds good to me bc I don't play it religiously and daily like I do with The Show. I don't expect greatness right off the bat with this new commentary team, but I do have faith that these two will be a breath of fresh air. I'm glad they've been working on this for the last 3 years, that gives me hope. And also that they're adding in commentary from real games should make it feel more authentic.
