As someone who solely plays franchise mode and rarely fast forwards through cut scenes, commentary and presentation are huge for me. I’m really excited about all the changes, but from what I heard in the video, I think the first year of the new commentary is going to be a little bland.

What really caught my attention in the video, and I know this is very picky on my part, was when a ball was hit off the Green Monster, Boog referred it to it as a ball off the fence. Nobody calling a game at Fenway would ever refer to the Monster as a fence. Again, I know I’m being picky, but it’s little things like that that will take me out of my immersion.

Love the new direction, but it needs some tightening up.

Your observation about the Green Monster has me wondering if the stadium specific commentary elements they added years ago - if the ball was hit into specific areas of each stadium the commentary would directly reference it - are included in the new commentary package. That would be a bummer if they aren’t.
