To go along with this, the overall strategy these days seems to be to throw your best pitch most (ground breaking stuff!!). Check out the pitcher's pitch ratings to get a sense of which pitches he controls the best and which pitches move the most and don't be afraid to ride his best pitch. Just don't rely on it too much or the hitters will eventually catch on

Stupid question: How to decide which pitch to use? Fastball, cut etc? I use it randomly, try not to repeat the same pitch twice in a row but nothing else.
      Thanks again =)
also, dont be afraid to throw a pitchers best pitch (usually X on the controller for PlayStation) back-to-back. the key is in the real estate: location, location, location.
just throw those same 2 pitches in a row to different spots. up down high low in out. paint the corners AMAP until you have to throw one down the center. and if you have a full count against a dangerous power hitter, dont be afraid to walk him with an out-of-zone pitch. one base given up is better than 2 or 4 bases. and who knows, sometimes they chase for a K
