Up To date schedule??

I’m sure they’re slim, but what are the chances that they have the accurate up-to-date schedule in franchise mode, once the game releases?

The game will have the 2022 schedule as was set prior to lockout and rescheduling of games

Zero! MLB is scheduling doubleheaders and those are not available

not sure why double headers have never been a part of franchise, I know they are never usually scheduled, and the result of usually rainouts (probably why rainouts also never a part of franchise), but seems to me the only adjustment would be to the fatigue of players and recovery etc. not a huge thing to add, at least it seems to me, unless i am missing something.

IF your schedule is actually "why" then maybe they don't have to to code it in without redoing the system.

Scheduling wise there is way more pressing things that have never been fixed like having the same schedule every year. SDS did mention that it was a huge task for them to get new random schedule for a new franchise year. Last year, West coast teams only played nighttime games, no day games. (or maybe it was vice versa)

All that just to say it seems like doubleheaders, for whatever reason, would be a huge task for them

I would want the original 2022 schedule. I want to pretend the lockout never happened.

With SDS unable to fix the times from last year, there is not just an easy fix to make double headers happen.

Yes. I keep seeing “patch” thrown around for just about everything in the game. I don’t believe cutting/copying/pasting works with a lot of supposed “problems” in the game. I think there’s much more involved when fixing things.

Amazing how doubleheader and schedule coding was solved by both 2K and EA about 15 years ago and still today SDS can't figure it out

I believe they have, maybe some teams aren't finalized yet, but I believe they just shifted the first series to the end if the year (so now there are a couple teams that play 6 straight against the same opponent to end the year), and most teams will make up the 2nd series with doubleheaders/shared off-days

Nah logic is logic; all problems are solved using three simple concepts: sequence, selection, iteration. Whether it’s 1975 or 2020 the logic is exactly the same.
