Forgive me if I'm a year behind but I didn't play MLB 21. But I noticed that the Rays light blue jerseys with Rays across the front aren't in the game this year. Do the Rays not wear them anymore?





Also, the Braves cream colored uniforms aren't in the game. I know they haven't worn them the last 2 seasons but that's been due to the pandemic. I believe the plan is to bring them back into rotation this year.

Thank you for that info. Cool article. Love the Royals new uniforms. I also had no idea the Braves changed their yellow color again.

UniWatch might say something about the Braves behind a paywall. It's possible they're getting scrapped. They only wore them 9 times last year. And (I didn't realize this) looks like they didn't wear them at all in 2020.

It's a shame, because I liked them a lot better than the home jerseys. I'd have preferred to keep those and drop the home whites.

Me too, although my favorite was the old dark gree alternates, plain green (the one in my avatar)

I've never been a big fan of teams wearing black when it's not one of their official colors, but the one the A's wore for a few years with the white lettering were sick.

I don't know, but David O'Brien who covers the Braves for The Athletic mentioned early on during the 2020 season that the Braves weren't wearing them because of the pandemic.

I’m bringing the black ones back when I start my franchise since there are no dark green this year. I love the nostalgia of the black jerseys from the late 90s and 2000s. Reminds me of my high school and college days.

I hated that trend that many teams went through. I don't know which 90s trend I hated more, the black baseball jerseys or all the college and NFL teams that went to those shadow block numbers.

I have just a general uniform question, does SDS still have a memory issue when it comes to how many uniforms they can put into the game? The reason I ask is because is in reference to the Rays no longer wearing the light blue uniforms that have Rays written across the front. Sure, the Rays won't be wearing them anymore but I didn't see any reason to take them out of the game.


Also, do you think we'll ever see the day when we can select the colors of undershirts and socks? I hate that we can't fix some of the errors that SDS is confined to.

It's not an issue of memory, they have to follow the MLB style guide for all current uniforms.

I'm not sure how they deal with throwbacks, but I'm pretty sure they're pretty strict about current stuff (which is why they removed stuff no longer being worn).

All I was saying is that people say they follow a guide, but yet over the years there have been number placement errors, the wrong colors have been used, etc. , so what exactly are they following?
