    ps4pro vs ps5

I live in the middle of nowhere in Texas, it’s about 2 1/2 hours to any major city.
My wife managed to snag a ps5 about four days ago.
I am still playing mlb20 and content doing it. We hooked up the ps5 and I promptly put the Show in and continued a franchise game that I had started.
The first thing I noticed was a slight graphic improvement, brighter colors etc.
We have a hotrod television LG OLED CX.
120hz, 2.1 HDMI etc. So the 4pro played really well too.

I have now played about 10-12 games on the ps5 and have totally ripped the cover off the ball. I have had the same sliders for two years since it is a 2 year old game. I have always had my pitch speed slider to were it’s hard to catch up to a high 90s fastball.
Since playing the ps5 I have now moved my pitch speed up to 9, I have lowered my timing down 2 clicks and have contact at 3. (I play on HOF). It feels like the controller responds very quickly on the ps5.

I love it but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if so what do think makes the difference?

    Re: ps4pro vs ps5

dunno i skipped the PS4 pro era my PS4 was good enough for 6 or so years. and I will refuse to buy a ps5 pro rubbish too. none of these half assed 2.0 consoles. it drives me crazy.

I never noticed much on a normal ps4 to ps5 to be honest the biggest difference was loading times because of the SSD drive. and performance by graphical wise apart from a few colour shades I see no difference at all

Horizon West is the only game I have seen actually use the full capability so far of the PS5

The frame rate on MLB 20 is a locked 60 FPS on PS5. I see the ball so well.

Unis and equipment also pop amazingly well. It is still a big wow for me every time I play.

That must be what it is, it has certainly helped my game tremendously. It’s almost like playing a completely different game. The wife said she sees a lot of difference and maybe once I get off of these cancer drugs I will see it more as well.

This might be my year that I finally get to play in a World Series……..after 16 years of the Show.

I’m in the same boat…finally found a PS5 this weekend. Coming from the PS4 Pro, I noticed I was slightly late on pitches starting out but made an adjustment and have been having much better at bats. Getting walks have been easier and l’m definitely squaring up the ball better. Definitely feel the controller has a faster response time on the PS5. Can’t wait to start playing with 22 on this bad boy!

We are actually headed to the cancer center this morning and my meds are at home, but I can remember a couple of them. Jackafi and Rezurock are two of them. There is probably about six more I can’t remember the names to. Most of those I can’t remember are steroids and rejection meds. I had a stem cell transplant last April. The Jackafi is ridiculously priced, it’s over $18,000 per month.

You are in my prayers, bro. Have fun with the game. I know it’s like Christmas for me as it allows me to keep my mind off the cancer a bit. Hang tough.

Yes sir, every day is a blessing. I don’t have any quit in me and you need to have that same attitude. I really think having the right attitude is as important as anything.
                  God Bless.

This thread took an unexpected turn.

                      @KnightTemplar and @IndianSummer

My best wishes and prayers are with you both! I've taken care of a loved one battling cancer and while everyone's journey is different, I can empathize with what you're going through.
