Maybe they'll build it back up next year with more time with the new team.

      Hopefully!
On the flip side, this means that the last few iterations will remain quite relevant with regards to classic/fictional rosters.

Hate that a lot of the names in the database have been dropped. But I guess that's expected with a new broadcast team. Maybe next year they can have more time for things like that and bring them back. So far I've enjoyed it but the play by play feels a bit robotic to me. Maybe because it's new guy's I can't really put my finger on it but it just feels weird.

Interesting take about the commentary. I actually feel the opposite. I feel like the commentary flows a lot more naturally and doesn't sound so monotone and unenthusiastic like the old crew did.

I was hoping that pitching wouldn’t be anything close to as easy as last year. Only five games in but it appears even easier. I better find a decent slider set or I’ll be hitting on all star and pitching on legend.

Yeah I think it might have just been the newness of it. Now that I've had time to play a few games I'm starting to grow more comfortable with it and enjoy it

I’ve not had a huge sample size, been playing all star hitting and all star plus pitching. So far I’ve seen really low offensive numbers. I’ve only had one game where one team got more than 9 hits, and have had low scores every game. 5 runs is the most I’ve been able to put up. 4 is the most I’ve given up.

For those playing on the PS4 how would you compare 22 to 20 so far? I skipped 21 because I was completely satisfied with 20, so I'm wondering if 22 is worth it this year on the PS4. Thanks everyone...

Best version of the series. Definitely worth it!

I'm in the same boat and on the fence as well. The grass in stadiums included with the Tech Test looks like they took a step back or two compared with 20's look.

Is the grass with 22's retail version any better v. the Tech Test?

                          Playing on Ps4Pro

This is easily the smoothest version yet. I could probably get away with Balanced, but it's so smooth on Fastest (likely 1080p/60fps as far as I can tell), I'm gonna leave it there.

Couldn't find a PS5 in time for release, and I was seriously fearing I was gonna be stuck with an inferior, choppy version (as I wasn't terribly impressed with 21's performance) but, nope, this is just fine. Smoothest I've ever seen it.

Using a ps4 pro with the same settings. I couldn’t get a PS5 either. Still absolutely blown away with the presentation and gameplay

This is great to hear. I'll be picking it up once it releases. Another benefit of playing on faster is that it doesn't make PS4 Pro sound like a hair dryer!

I’ve been using “Balanced” I’m not sure what the difference is?
