So what does everyone think the chances we get another patch at the official release tomorrow? I know it was around 2 weeks before we got the third patch after last year. But with the mess that uniforms and equipment is in, you’d think they’d want that fixed on release. If they intend to fix it.

I personally would be surprised if we got another patch tomorrow/this week unless its for the crashing issue that some are experiencing after this patch.

I think you're looking at a couple of weeks before another of substance patch is released.

Sorry for the naive question, as I am not that technically saavy. What exactly is a hard reboot and how would I go about doing one?

Restarting the machine, either via shutting it down (not putting in sleep mode) or doing a restart option.

I doubt it. I firmly believe that they intend on trickling out equipment throughout the year (not as in additions, which are welcome), but as a form of free DLC to keep people interested, and if that's the case it's gonna be a game killer for franchise players and roster makers / editors. I sincerely hope I'm wrong though.

I did a full re-install and restart on my console (PS5)

Played 2 games last night with no issues.

As far as the Catcher not throwing down to 1B on a drop 3rd strike....I read people seeing that happen pre-patch. I saw it post patch. So it is a rare bug....but it is there.

In 20 plus games now I saw it one time.

Once the game has it’s official release tomorrow the bug report form will be available at show nation.com to file bug reports.

Other than that.....and some play by play inaccuracy (which I will report as well as I am sure many others will) the game is playing incredible.

Just some minor stuff that needs to be cleaned up.

I agree I hope they don’t touch gameplay. This is the best the game has ever played straight out of the box.

Yeah.....it happened to me too today.

Pop fly foul caught by Rizzo and it froze. Hard freeze. In the 8th inning.

Also post patch the very first AB of my first game post patch. DJ checked swing strike three on a ball in the dirt....catcher picked it up and just stood there and never threw to first.

Going to file a bug report (once we can) on the freezing as well as that Catcher bug on a dropped third strike and no throw to first.

Things happen. But SDS has a great record of fixing instability bugs that inadvertently can be introduced with Patches.

It is par for course as we all know.

I downloaded the patch yesterday but had not played until today. This happened to me twice. Froze up both times on foul popups to first base. Did you file a bug report?

Roster Updates are a different thing. There will likely be a roster update on Friday with final rosters (somewhat, with 28 man rosters this year irl for April, 2 guys on each team that make the roster will have to still be in the Minors in The Show) and possibly guys that make opening day rosters but aren't in the game (like Cano and Suzuki). First ratings update would probably be the 14th. I kinda doubt they're going to adjust too many ratings based on Spring Training.

guys like Cano won't be in the game till they take a Major league at bat in 2022. I am pretty sure they said the first roster update would be in 2 weeks. so that is not this friday expect it in 2 weeks. after 1 week of regular season. that makes sense then to add the missing players who by then would have been playing in the majors.

as for the 4 yankees players that now have beards. they might do a patch that fixes that.. that isn't a roster update that is a patch because if you are in a current franchise if they update the no beards thing that updates your game.. face scans are not linked to the roster.

Transaction updates are every week, ratings updates are every two weeks. That's what they said in the final stream (and how it worked last year).

Are you sure they need to register an AB? I believe just being on the active roster for a game would count. In any case, it's entirely possible Cano will have AB by Friday; the Mets play Thursday.
