The Show '22 on Xbox Gamepass

My partner has Gamepass so I had intended on playing The Show on there this year. I'm finding it a little laggy though. There's some frame rate dropping, some screen flickers, and it just doesn't play very clean or smooth. Anyone else having a similar experience?

I'm playing in Xbox One.

Also, does anyone know if saved data, etc. transfers over from Gamepass if you end up buying an actual copy of the game?

Yes you're saved data will transfer but I doubt the game is leaving gamepass til end of season.

I'm just thinking that the lagginess is a result of playing through Gamepass and that it might perform better with an actual copy of the game.

My understanding was that you download the game through Gamepass though so it's not like I'm streaming it. The performance should be the same as the actual game no?

Yes it is downloaded same as a digital game.

It's like 70gigs of a download, so I can't image a retail copy (disk or digital) being any different. It definitely dips below 60fps though and it's quite noticeable.

Pretty sure the series has never ran at a stable 60fps on base last gen systems. Check the settings and maybe you can change to a framerate mode but more than likely the game just can't run completely smooth on base last gen.

The game has never ran at a solid 60fps on any system, and still doesn't.

OP is on Xbox One so that would be a possible cause. There is not a performance option.

You're claiming the PS5 version isn't stable 60fps in framerate mode?

I get real bad frame rate issues right after contact on next gen Xbox. It’s very noticeable and actually shameful at this point. Maybe it’s the batting view? I’m not sure. I use a wider angle to bat with.

OP is on Xbox One so that would be a possible cause. There is not a performance option.

Damn, that's a shame. I might just get it on Switch instead.

There's no way to drop any settings to increase performance? Apologies for the ignorance. I know nothing about this stuff.

I have the XBOX/s and the GamePass version. I don't know if it is my 4K TV which is 5 years old and need to adjust some settings but MLB22 just doesn't look right for some reason. It looks too bright and the shading looks washed out unlike MLB21 from last year. I just don't remember it looking like this in 21.

I deleted 21 which I regret so I can't compare it to 22.. but something seems off. The FPS is ok but I see what others are saying that it is dipping in some cutscenes but that's not bothering me too much, it's the way it looks that's concerning...Will have to do some adjustments and see.

Speaking of gamepass: I have a PC and I have gamepass. Can I stream the Show on my pc with the cloud gaming on gamepass? I was able to do it on 21, so I’m assuming yes, but wanted to check.
