The PCI anchor is nothing more than a starting point for your PCI. Despite having the word "anchor", you can still freely move the PCI even after setting it.

Ex: Lets say you choose to set the PCI anchor at the top of the zone because you're expecting a high fastball. If the pitch is down in the zone, you can still press the L-stick down and the PCI will move down.

It doesn't matter where you place it, although when I've used it, I've placed it in the zone I thought the pitcher may be throwing in (inside, outside, high, low) and its worked ok.

I'm still out on whether I like the PCI anchor or not. I like the idea/concept, but I'm still adjusting to it.

        Re: pci anchor

I like to anchor the PCI in the high and inside corner, then move my PCI down to the low and inside corner (it helps prevent me from dropping my PCI and seems to be the location I struggle with). Then if I need to react to a pitch up and in I just release the stick to snap the PCI back up.

Press L3 to activate the setting of the anchor. Then move the L stick to the part of the zone you want the anchor to be set.

The dots represent the 9 locations you can set the pci anchor

Remember you can still move the PCI even after setting the anchor. Its just a starting point.

I see. I might dabble with this, not sure. I play zone with pci off. I might have to turn on just to get use to it before going back off.

That said, when it’s on but pci off, the anchor is still on correct?

And if that was confusing, I’m sorry.

Is this supposed to be a solution for people who have the tendency to “drop the PCI”?

i dont know.. but my fingers are paralyzed. i can quickly move the pci cursor down with no problem. i have very much trouble moving it up.

this will aide my disability greatly.

I play zone with pci visual off also and this works whether you have pci on/off. If you hit L3 to anchor your PCI you should see a white dot correspond to the location you chose to let you know it is anchored. Then you can move it from there.

I’m still planning to play and test it awhile longer to see if I want to keep using it. Still up in the air at this point.

im trying it with the exhibiton game. im the red sox vs oakland a's. i have the anchor on the middle dot and i move the pci low and keep it there. so far i hit one home run. i got to finish the game today. that when i also found out about the fenway scoreboard bug.

How is everyone liking the pci anchor?

I went into practice and messed around with it. I’m still indecisive if I’ll use it.

I really like the concept, it’s almost as if you’re choosing a zone in anticipation of a pitch there. That does mimic what real batters do.

I hate crap on the screen though. I play zone but with the pci off so it’s all feel.

My indecisiveness is whether I want to learn to use it without the anchor dot display before the pitch. Controller vibrates and once you get it down, it’s not so hard to know which zone you’ve selected.

Idk, I might use it because if you want it in the middle, just hit l3. Then again, I might not because I may fiddle with it too much every pitch every at bat

I put it in a area where I struggle at. So if I see the pitch coming to that area. I just let go of the analog. This is a pretty good feature
