And I never thought of it like that. I actually thought most people cranked up the pitch speed.Comment

Re: MTO Thoughts
So I’m really looking into MTO because I never play 162 games but also get sucked into playing a game per series or so. I throughly enjoy the team management aspect of franchise but with Y2Y saves gone and wanting to play a decent amount of games per year, it’s impossible.
I had no idea I could transition MTO to a franchise after. That seems like a perfect hybrid.
I’m thinking of doing the orioles. MTO allows me to get my game fix while also rebuilding so when in start franchise mode, rebuild is already in motion.
Can you move MTO file to franchise before 3 years? Just wondering.
Only downside is no sliders and such but to be honest, that’s good for a guy like me. Every year I say I’ll just play and instead I spend the first month minimum with slideritis.

Re: MTO Thoughts
Ugh! I just noticed that because all of the MLB injured players in real life are in the minor leagues in the current default roster set, that is how MTO begins. Did anyone see any callups for these players later in the year? Otherwise, I may have to wait it out. Really annoying that every teams doesn’t have their best players at the MLB level.

Re: MTO Thoughts
Love MTO as always just wish we could use custom rosters with it. Not a huge deal at this point in the season since the default rosters are pretty accurate but I feel like there's no replay value at the end of the year. I'd love to do a fantasy draft or be able to use an updated roster in January/February when im getting excited about the new baseball season. It's a great mode but this is really holding it back for me.
I understand the reason for it is that there are DD rewards tied to it but they need to at least give us the option to opt out. As it is now it feels like a glorified DD grind mode that DD players generally don't even really like because the payouts aren't that good.

Lots of little nuggets in this mode that are underrated. I haven't noticed any injuries yet. Has anyone seen any?Comment

Re: MTO Thoughts
The off-season free agency addition is kinda cool. Some NCAA 14 recruiting type vibes with giving players enough attention until you can offer them a contract.
That being said, maybe I did it wrong, but you're kind of limited to only looking at the top 100 free agents. I couldn't really find any bench bats or guys to take a flier on. Instead, once I finished the free agency period, the AI had signed Justin Turner and Gary Sanchez to my team (I was the Braves and didn't have a need for a catcher or third baseman).
Also, still no injuries in MTO which is kind of a bummer, but I guess it makes sense that it's better served for franchise where you have full control of your organization.
Just finished another MTO season with the Angels and the standings seemed relatively realistic, but the Dodgers did break the record with 118 wins, so pretty interesting there. The Dodgers, Yankees, Blue Jays, and Mets all won 100+ games and the Cubs surprisingly won the NL Central.Comment

Re: MTO Thoughts
Does anyone know roughly how many games you end up participating in?

Re: MTO Thoughts
I thought the same thing with the Cardinals at home playing the Pirates tomorrow (but in the game I was at Pittsburgh) but someone told me it's the original schedule before the labor negotiations.Comment

Re: MTO Thoughts
My only issue is during pitcher events, you can't see the batter stats like in a regular game by pressing up on the d-pad ( i'm on xbox ) and you can't set any shift. I'm not sure if this is true for every pitcher event, any feedback is very much appreciated.Comment
