    For ratings?

It used to be they used a formula based off the past 3 seasons for a player.

I'm not sure if this is still how they do it or not.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

They've always used the past three years. They used to weight the most recent year twice as much but some years ago they confirmed they moved to a straight three-year average. Older players nearing the end of their career seem to be rated out this way but often get adjusted downward somewhat, to varying degrees.

This holds mostly for players that have enough playing time. For others they likely rely on projections if they are younger or are regressed towards the mean.
