God I hope this isnt how it is this year..... That would be a INSANELY STUPID decision to lock certain equipment to just RTTS.

For me, that would be one of the darkest days of MLB The Show.

I really hope they update this. Plenty of players use UA and like my original post was about, Mizuno batting gloves.

I always create myself as a catcher and use UA equipment for everything so it being missing sucks.

Fellas we got an update early this morning. So hopefully they added some more stuff. I’m working so I can’t check. Hopefully someone beats me to it and checks and let’s us all know. Crossing my fingers

I haven't checked for myself...but I thinksomeone else mentioned that there was another rawlings glove (red label), new warstic batting gloves, & lindor's new balance cleats....again I haven't checked for myself yet so maybe there is other stuff

Another patch, another disapointment in the equipments department. Only Lindor cleats added (we still have 50% less cleats than in MLB21)... 3 new batting gloves from the same brand (still no Lindor's or mizunos)

Guys, just going post this here as to not be overly negative in the patch thread, but I’m honestly gutted the Nike catchers equipment at the least wasn’t added in patch 3. The gameplay is so great this year but it feels like the missing equipment is detracting so much from my enjoyment of the game. I just want to get my franchise rolling and not playing anything other than the show the whole summer.

I am going to say this about the Nike catcher gear. Roll with the Generic no.1.

Nike catcher equipment wasn't dome correct last year. The second color was not visible. So with that being said, "If you can't do something right don't do at all!"

At least just come out and say, “hey guys sit tight, all this stuff will be added” or “sorry we aren’t going to be able to include this stuff in the game this year” so the people that are waiting to see can get on with starting their franchises and what not. Yes I totally agree! Just come out and let us know!! If the equipment purge was necessary for some reason then I guess we'll need to get over it... But I hate holding out hope everything will be added back.

I dont think theres any reason to wait for equipment to start a franchise. I get that it's a hassle to re-edit all those players, but its not like roster updates where you cant use the updated players in the mode. Any new equipment will be available in all modes

I still think the stuff on the market is coming back in game. Kind of figured they would add a lot all at once, but doesn't seem like it now

I'm still cautiously optimistic that most, if not all, of the missing equipment will make it back in, but the pace is getting pretty frustrating. As is the lack of transparency.

Honestly, I've never understood the degree of secrecy that surrounds most AAA sports games, especially those without competition. Not to mention the fact that more and more sports games are incorporating elements of the live service model as well; you'd think that'd equal more transparency, not less.

Yeah, for as strong as gameplay is, there have been a few bummers for me as well:

• Missing equipment
  
• No new throwbacks and other lingering uniform issues (ex. no pullover jersey template)
  
• No more MLB Network presentation
  
• Significantly less names in the audio database (I realize this was kind of inevitable with new commentators, but considering they were working on commentary for three years, I was hoping for more)
