So this is strictly a guess. But, they normally have an update shortly after a new City Connect uniform is unveiled to add them. The Royals are supposed to wear their new City Connects on April 30th, which means they should be unveiled shortly before that. So hopefully we have the update by the end of the month.

Re: Missing equipment
I’ve seen other players wearing them, but as of now I can’t think who exactly wore them. I also do all my edits through Getty Images, so when I come across someone who wears them I’ll let you know!

No, not at all. But I think someone at the studio was very aware the equipment would not make launch. It would have been a showing of good faith to make customers aware of that. Just be up front about what the root cause was (licensing, rescans, bugs, etc.) so that customers could make a buying decision with accurate data at launch.CarefreeComment

Do you know these guys sleep at the studio during crunch time. They bring in mattresses and put them next to their computer. They even bring pets in. All to please us with this great game. Somethings happen under the hood that we are absolutely not aware of. Do you know they even have a legal team that handles stuff? They don’t jack us around on purpose. And I certainly don’t need a press conference (tongue in cheek) to calm my curiosity. Just sayin. Nobody has to buy this game on day one.No, not at all. Acuna is now a Nike athlete, and the live rosters have updated him as such, when he had NB in the default. I assume the exact cleats and color won't be known until he actually plays.Acuna wore them last year...he hasnt played yet so idk if he still does

Yeah that's kind of how I have felt about it. As much as I am an equipment nut, I never really felt like the missing equipment really needed to be addressed specifically. I do appreciate that Ramone mentioned it in the stream today though, just never really expected it or really felt it was necessaryDo you know these guys sleep at the studio during crunch time. Re: Missing equipment
I believe that they probably had some kind of major glitch or some sort of problem with the equipment this year. If you noticed they’ve worked each update on the equipment that’s in the game. It looks better and better each time. I think they probably intended to add everything in the update a few days after early release, meaning it would have been in the game on the day 1 release, but there was something preventing them from fixing it in time. I’ve never felt like they took it out just to mess with us. I saw a post a saying Ramone was responsible for it. I also don’t agree with that in the least. Ramone is just the face we see relaying the information he’s told to release. He just reads the script the higher ups give him. I do wish it had been addressed sooner, but they may have not felt it needed to be. Either way I’m glad it was, and I’m looking forward to having everything in the game soon.Do you know these guys sleep at the studio during crunch time. Re: Missing equipment
I am acutely aware of the strenuous nature of extreme overtime and overnight work. I greatly respect the work these developers put toward this work of art each year. Please do not misunderstand me, and I apologize for not addressing that. However, I am talking about business decisions that directly impact their customer base. All I am saying is that it would have been a respectable move to address the problem before launch and explain the problem. Of course no one HAS to buy the game at any point. But if someone is not given clear information, and in fact was mislead by marketing materials, isn’t that wrong? Isn’t that in poor taste? Isn’t that the wrong way to do business? I do not believe this has anything to do with the developers who spend 90 hours per week at the studio with their dog and their sleeping bag. I think it has to do with a concerted business decision to deceive customers likely via the publisher. If that belief makes me a villain, so be it.Do you know these guys sleep at the studio during crunch time. They bring in mattresses and put them next to their computer. They even bring pets in. If equipment is stopping somebody from purchasing a game idk what to say about that. And SDS is the last studio that purposely deceive its customers, it’s a just a bug that was messing with some items in the game that’s it. There’s no need to delay the game launching over missing equipment.

Re: Missing equipment
Sorry if this is the wrong thread but it’s the Klay popular one about equipment at the moment. But I have a question. If I set eyewear to always. Will they always wear them no matter the weather conditions? Like evening games, night games, rain & winter?Comment

Re: Missing equipment
If you choose any of the sunglasses they will only where them in day games when it is sunny. If you choose any of the clear lenses (which are only the generic glasses) then they will wear them regardless of the time of day or weather.
The "always" refers to wearing glasses both when hitting and fielding

Re: Missing equipment
Re: Missing equipment
I feel like this is a bit dramatic. Plus on the other side of the coin they advertised the equipment in all of their pre promotional material. Not to mention it is available in other game modes locked behind a pay wall of course. I would agree with you if they hadn’t advertised this equipment as being apart of the game. Equipment isn’t a deal breaker for me but for some people it is.Do you know these guys sleep at the studio during crunch time. They bring in mattresses and put them next to their computer. It would be the equivalent of going to buy a car. You do your research on every aspect of the car. Every commercial and piece of advertising material for that car, everything looks good. Then you purchase the car. But the day you go to pick pick up the car the salesperson tells you that unfortunately you cannot leave with the car, because the wheels for the vehicle are not available yet. The car most certainly does come with wheels, but due to some unforeseen issue with the factory your cars wheels will not arrive for about 30 days. No mention of this issue whatsoever before you spent your money on the vehicle with the intention of driving it home that day. Had they not advertised any of that equipment being in the game whatsoever, then yes I would agree with you. They wouldn’t owe anyone an explanation at all.
While I am glad the mentioned they are working on it and eventually it will be in, I 100% think it’s an issue that deserves 100% transparency and I am glad they mentioned it. I guarantee that because everyone on line was making a stink about it, that’s why they decided to address it.Comment
