Stealing mlb 22

Is it me or is it very hard to steal this year. Im stealing in good counts and still get throw out. Any tips?

Press L2 before the pitch to load the steal. Then hold L1. Release L1 when the pitcher makes his move to the plate.

works great for stealing but the pickoffs are incredibly annoying.

Don’t take that extra step and you won’t see a pickoff.

I never take the extra step. It's the fact I'm holding down the button when they throw over leaves me dead.

Yeah, sometimes it feels like the AI is programmed to cheat off user inputs. Even when I'm not stealing I'll take a single advancement in my lead-off and they immediately try a pick-off that has no chance.

There's simply no time to react to throws to first. They would need to make some sort of split screen and have some throw over animations for us humans to react to.
