Mid-game freezing

I've had one freeze on Xbox Series X. First game I played in exhibition mode. Have played 5 franchise games since and no freeze.

One thing I am getting which is annoying is my screen momentarily flickers and goes black at random times while playing. Only happens in this game so don't believe it to be a hardware issue

I’m on PS5 and I have had it freeze 3 times. It only happens when it’s a pop fly foul ball that is caught right by the dugouts. All three times have been the same thing. I stopped going for outs right by the dugouts.

no freezes for me and playing at least 2 or 3 games a night with every innings and pitch. on PS5 I play every game on the calender too and finished first 2 days of franchise.

I only had one lock up between a innings change before that animation plays where it shows a player what he did that innings with a big RBI or home or whatever but came back after the 20 second freeze. thought the game had frozen but it fixed itself thankfully. other then that it's been perfect. touch wood for me it stays that way.

I wish we could have mid game saves without having to exit and save. or be like Madden where if a crash happens a auto save takes you back to the game.

Yeah I wish they had the capability similar to Madden. In my situation, I actually lost a game-plus because I hadn’t saved after the previous game.

Happened to me three times already. Each time was on a pop up to the first base area.

My freeze was a pop up around 1st base too

This was happening to me while playing NHL 22, deleted & reinstalled, played one game since and it didn't happen. This was while playing on the series X

It happened to me once on the Switch, again pop foul was caught by the first base dugout. I just chalked it up to the Switch not quite being able to run this game but I guess that wasn't the case.

Are you guys experiencing these crashes while your console is connected to the internet? I seem to remember in the past that some situations like this could be avoided by disconnecting.

Not that the current situation is acceptable but this might get you through until a patch is released…

On Xbox Series X, had 2 freezes (from quite a lot of games) both on pop ups in foul territory on first base side.

Had some severe frame rate issues a few times as well, mainly in certain stadiums (seemingly ones with roofs that can be closed but are open I think). Pretty disappointing to still get these frame rate jutters on a console clearly powerful enough to run a fairly limited game.

First freeze last night. As others have related, mine happened on a pop up behind 1st. It sucks too because it was a franchise game and a HR was hit with the batter before.

Very annoying bug, mine froze yesterday at the bottom of the 8th in a very tense franchise game. Might be worth trying playing without internet connection as one mentioned.
