    Re: RTTS 22 thread

Is anyone else having a problem with real short homers in their RTTS? I got my guy upto 98 with perks and archetypes, he's a power 1B with in-game power in the 110's and I keep hitting wall-scrapers. My monsters are barely over 400 feet and I've not hit a single homer over 430 feet and I'm in my 4th MLB season.

It's deflating seeing the no-doubt homer animation and it goes 365ft.

So is there some setting or slider that nerfs homer length? Cos this has never happened to me in any other iteration and I've been playing since 2010.

Yes. Even perfectly timed swings. At least compared to The Show 21, I'm see it more this year.

Perfect timed swings for me are line drive lasers that either hit the fielder's glove or fall just in front of them.

When they do the green arc for your homers, I've noticed that mine hit their apex and then it drops like a stone.

This seems like a really stupid question to ask after playing this game since '06 but how do I add a secondary position in RTTS to my player? I can't find it anywhere. I thought I had added it in creation but there is nothing there now.

Started a RTTS with my power hitting 3B. Got drafted by the Tigers. Got called up after a couple of months. We were first in the AL Central. Spencer Torkelson was having a breakout year hitting .324. He gets traded to the Braves at the deadline for Jalen Miller. Not a single need for either team was addressed through this trade. I hate the ****in trade logic with a passion as it keeps on ruining every single RTTS I start.

Started a new RTTS player as a Power/Speed Center Fielder from Cuba drafted by the Marlins. Also I'm sticking with Dynamic Difficulty this time and am hovering around HOF+ and Legend. So far so good.

I created a starting pitcher that's a knuckleballer on dynamic difficulty. What's the best pitching format to use?

The meter/classic styles seem to allow me to pound the strike zone and throw 7-12 pitches per inning and never walk anyone. When I use pulse I see the ball dance more, walk 4-5 batters a game and have innings where I throw 20-30+ pitches. Is pulse the best for a knuckleballer?

Called up to The Show only to face Ohtani on the mound in my very first plate appearance. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit star struck.

I hate the trade logic as well, but what helps me is turning the trade logic slider down to 0-20 when the trade deadline approaches. The default slider is at 50 try doing this.

My player is in the worst slump of his early career. His batting average and slugging have plummeted in the span of the last 10 games or so and I'm hurtling towards that Mendoza line. I've gone 0-for several series and my last at bat typified the experience with a broken bat dribbler to the pitcher. I'm just waiting for the Christopher Russo cut scene "Ship him outta here! He's a bum!"

That said, my saving grace so far has been my play at short stop which has been nothing less than stellar. I'm in the running for my first Gold Glove. My batting issue will eventually work itself out but it's my defense that's my constant.

2023 All-Star festivities in front of the hometown crowd in Seattle. Got selected for the Home Run Derby and paired up against Mike Trout of all people in the first round.

The final round ended in dramatic fashion.

Sign as a Shortstop for the Nationals in the 3rd round.

Bust my butt to really play well. Not a fan of this new loadout system so I only use what I need to feel like I am progressing at an appropriate level. I finally make way up to AAA in year two. I can smell my coffee brewing in the clubhouse of the major league team.

Offseason comes. Watching diligently for my offer. Then it happens.......

Nationals sign Trea Turner to a 8 year $300 million deal!!!

Settling into the 2nd half of season two. M's are 10 games back of division leaders Angels but still hold the #1 wild card spot. We're hovering right around 5-10 games above .500 ball.

Anyways, division rivalry game against the underperforming Astros. Messed around and got a couple of RBIs. Today was a good day.
