Anyone up for creating McCormick Field, home of Asheville Tourists, and 3rd oldest stadium in the minors? I'm terrible at creating this stuff so hoping someone will give it a shot at some point.

I created League Park (Cleveland 1891). I did add lights and a scoreboard though. It has non-conforming dimensions (Left line 385, Right line 290 with 40 foot wall). However, I cannot figure out how to upload it to the vault. Any advice?

In the “my stadiums” tab of the creator, hit X (square on PS I assume), menu should pop up with a few options including upload. Once you have it up post back here with your username and it’ll get it on the list.

          Thank you.

          It is uploaded

          Name: League Park

Used by Cleveland Spiders of National League (1891)

Historically it would not have lights or an electric scoreboard.

Ironically, I was looking up stats last night and the Spiders are the worst team in MLB history. 1899 was not a good year. Small world I guess.

That Tiger Stadium is so good I can hear Sparky Anderson: "He don't wanna walk you!".
Would the lady who left her nine kids at Wrigley Field please pick them up immediately? They are beating the Cubs 4-0 in the 7th inning!

Yes, the 1899 Spiders have the worst record in baseball, BUT that was not really a Spiders team. Before 1899 the owner of the Spiders purchased the St. Louis Browns which was a terrible team and since St. Louis was a better market economically he transfered all the best Spiders players to the Browns and all the worst Browns players to the Spiders. If you look at the Spiders rosters in 1898 and 1899 and compare them you will see this. The Spiders of 1891 to 1898 were a pretty good team and included Hall of Fame players Cy Young, John Clarkson, George Davis, Jesse Burkett and Buck Ewing. It included also one of the best defensive catchers of the 1890s in Chief Zimmer and one of the best defensive center fielders in Jimmy McAleer. One year they even won the Temple Cup.

To continue that same year before the 1899 season in a similar move the owner of the New York Giants purchased the Baltimore Orioles and transfered all the best Orioles players to the Giants. (In the 1890s the Orioles had been a dominant team in the National League) The Orioles did manage to finish fourth though in 1899. 1899 was the last seasons for the Cleveland Spiders and Baltimore Orioles franchises as both franchises folded after the season. As a result of all this after the season the National League adopted a rule against a person having an ownership interest in more than one team.

Correction: It was the owner of the Brooklyn Dodgers and not the Giants who purchased the Orioles. As a result the Dodgers who finished 10th in 1898 finished first in 1899. St Louis went from 12th to 5th.

From the main menu, go to the paintbrush icon in the upper right, then stadium creator. Once in creator mode, scroll up to find recent uploads tab, hit the search button, and search by stadium name or username. Most will return multiple matches, so I recommend you download the version from the username I listed. I have personally checked almost all of these and listed only really good versions of each.

I was updating Alex Rodriguez Park last night and got hit with the stadium creator bug. Hope to have the update in the vault today as long as I don’t encounter the bug again. Under dds616.

Some of the stadiums in the vault have multiple of the same stadium by the same username. Is there a way to tell which one is more current?

From what I can tell the leftmost tile is most current. However this doesn’t always mean more accurate. Sometimes other users will download an original and change walks to make it competitive safe or just make their own tweaks. Thus I’ve personally checked most of this list against real pics for the most accurate.

Thanks. What does it mean to "change walks?"
