I Gave Up on 21 and Reinstalled 20

A few weeks ago, I decided to go ahead and buy The Show 21 after it went on sale for $19.99 because with the real season starting and no games I was currently playing, I had an itch to get back into it. I knew that there weren't a lot of improvements for the standard PS4 version, especially as someone who only plays single player offline Franchise Mode, but I thought what the heck.

But after playing 20 or so games and messing with the settings as much as I can, I've just come to the conclusion that this is the first time in the series' history that I've liked the previous version more than the next one. So instead of doubling down on a bad choice, I decided just to delete it and reinstall 20, and I'm glad that I did. For my ability level and play style, its just the better game for me.

Maybe if I'm ever blessed with the ability to buy a PS5, I'll install 21 on that system and check out how it looks and plays on Next Gen.

I enjoyed 20 much more as well...felt it was more smooth and polished.

Well, 20 looks really fantastic on the PS5. I had 21, but something was just missing so I played last years season with 20 on the PS5. 20 is a great game.

Now….along comes 22 and I’m never going back.

I always switch back and forth between the current version and the original version for PS4, Show 14, so on the one hand I can definitely understand about wanting to play an older version year of the Show, but on the other hand, I can't say 20 or so games played is enough to start changing the settings (if by settings, you're talking sliders), let alone twenty games being enough to see what a great game 21 was

funny thing is, last year I almost gave up immediately on 21 because I hated/hate the menu layout. I still don't care for it in 21 or now in 22, I pretty much just have to hold my nose navigating the menus it stinks so bad but once gametime begins, the gameplay is as good as it gets IMO
